Belly Support Band Question

Did any of you ladies have to wear a belly support band. My doctor recommended I get one. Did it help? Where did you get yours/what brand? Was it comfortable? I had to go to the doctor yesterday to make sure I was not in premature labor, thankfully I am not. I am having constant shooting pain, a pulsating feeling and pressure basically right where the baby will come out. My doctor said it was because of a nerve that is getting pushed on by DD. She suggested the band to help take the pressure off of my pelvis.

I wore one last time. It wasn't anything fancy, just the kind you can find at Motherhood or Babies R Us. I am ready to break it out with this pregnancy, as this little girl likes to sit very low and is causing all sorts of discomfort. It took a little bit of time for me to get used to it, but once I did, it really helped!

I wore one last time and it was wonderful.  I actually bought a Belly Band but I ended up with a C section and it wasn't long enough on my abdomen (it hot right at the scar) so i asked in the hospital if I could get a surgical binder and they got me one.  It was just the generic kind but much bigger than my store bought band and it worked great.  I wore it almost eight weeks.
