@wicked22 I wish I had brilliant advice to help bit sadly as a FTM I've got nothing other than hugs to offer. I really hope they do get easier quickly. Are you having any specific issues? I'm sure our STM's would jump at the chance to offer help.
@FhSTAR81 FX that you're blood pressure stays down today and all the tests come back allowing you to keep baking LO as long as safely possible! I hope Miss Addison is her usual cute and helpful self to get your day started right
@FhSTAR81 I'll be watching for updates! And thanks
I think 95% of my bumping ended up being between 4 and 6am with the last 5% in the evening. You'd think that would mean I'd been productive but I feel like I've gotten very little done. At least everything checked out well at my midwifery appointment* and I'm finally getting off my butt to try and find a pediatrician.
*I swear the midwife had the top of the fundal height tape measure just shy of the bottom of my bra! At 36 weeks and 3 days, I am now officially scared of just how much further out I may grow since up is apparently not much of an option anymore...
I'm up! Just about to get up and get ready for work. I have to take my car to the shop to get fixed from when someone hit me a couple weeks back and I'm hoping that goes okay. Also my coworker is off today so it's just me and new girl...wish me luck on that one!
@IndianaMommy08 I definitely say not terrible at all! And FX it won't turn out to be a problem in January. Life has to be nice and play fair sometimes
@AnnieRoo13 I've seem some scary pictures... and given that I'm bracing myself for going two weeks past, that could be where I end up at this rate!
And holy cow, freedom! I think the pets got together and decided it was okay to share some bed space. I finally have room on either side of me and covers again!!!
I'm really paranoid about going early because of my experience with DS. Part of that anxiety is avoiding anything that could bring on labor - including sex. Last time we had sex the night before my water broke. Probably unrelated, but we're just ultra cautious right now.
All of that is context for the fact that I had insane, nonstop sex dreams all night! OMG. I am not good at abstinence. (Sidenote: I preferred that to the labor anxiety dream where my phone turned into a jellyfish).

I had a dream that I was having painful contractions & I actually felt myself smiling in my sleep! 36 weeks & I haven't felt any BH contractions yet...that or they just don't hurt at all. It's making me nervous...hoping I go into labor naturally but now I'm starting to get worried about the possibility of induction. Complete opposite of my first pregnancy, they started around 24 weeks with DD1! I guess time will tell...only 4 weeks left to wait & see!
@bethas I feel fortunate that I usually don't remember my "dreams." They always feel like a dream but keep going horribly wrong, like being at Disneyland but I keep getting lost or am being chased FX we both sleep better tomorrow!
Pretty annoyed with my boss. Outside of my regular job, I offered years back to pick up patient evaluations occasionally at 8 AM. I told him a few weeks ago that it might be a good idea to stop scheduling those patients because 1. it's added work for me and 2. it's one more thing they will have to deal with to cancel and reschedule when I have this baby. He is still having them be scheduled at least into next week. so annoying, I hope if backfires on him at some point.
Thanks everyone! It's been not awesome. There was an ant infestation in our room and I have at least four bites! Husband and baby appear to be fine and we changed rooms last night but seriously?!? I just want to leave this place!!! Waiting on the OB to stop by to set us freeeeee!
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has better days than yesterday. Hopefully going to be a quiet day here just getting some more things ready for LO, much easier since DD is back at school.
AW a couple pictures from the fair the other night and yes the apple crisp was as delicious as it looks!
What's with the bizarre dreams last night?! You would have thought that lunar eclipse was last night, not last week! I'm still trying to determine what was real and what was in my dreams last night.
I felt like crap yesterday evening-- BH that just wouldn't go away (even after all my tricks to get them gone) and pelvic pressure that was so intense...(help me out, ladies, maybe these were the 'real deal contractions?!' I really don't think I've ever experienced a real one so I'm not sure and that freaks me out!).
Anyways, I went to bed and I don't know if I was feeling all of this while sleeping or if I was just dreaming about going into labor? In my dreams I kept having contractions and instead of going to the hospital myself, I kept sending my clients' mothers to L&D (ummm, I'm an Early Intervention speech path, so I don't know why I felt qualified to send people to L&D...) Kinda freaked out that it was my sub conscience trying to wake me up and tell me something was wrong. I'm feeling better this morning, so I guess I won't worry about it...until it starts up again, which I hope it won't!
YAY for being discharged @LilWatz not so great about the ants
It's raining and I wish I was home in bed in my sweatpants catching up on all my DVR stuff.
Also I want to eat Tacos.......
My back doesn't hurt until I'm at work cause sitting at my desk just sucks. Plus I think I'm already ready to back from leave because the girl filling in for me is doing ALL my stuff and I just check on it after she tells me she is done with some of it and it's all kinds of F'ed UP so at least I know when I come back to work I'll have plenty of stuff to do. YAY FOR ME!!! 8-|
Good morning bumpers! Just heard Chloe passed her jaundice test numbers (she's been high for about a day). Looks like we are getting discharged.
Happy Tuesday!!!!
Middle of the night pumping's don't seem to be getting any easier.
Wicked22 What exactly is the issue? It gets easier with time...
Well I dreamt that my boss and I (who I have NO attraction to whatsoever) had sex all over his office. And I kept thinking about his poor wife... It never occurred to me until just now to think of my husband! At least I wasn't pregnant in the dream! LOL...
@Lilwatz - that ant thing is so not cool, but it's absolutely AWESOME that you get to go home!!!
Add me to the weird dream list...except I luckily can't remember mine. I just remember it was scary, so I was all trying to curl up against DH for comfort (which is impossible with a belly as big as mine), and he didn't even wake up enough to give me a hug. Apparently it didn't scar me too badly though, considering I can't remember a thing about it today!
And...last night got the car seat and stroller all set up! I think we're going to install the car seat this weekend!!
Re: heartburn...I wake up multiple times nightly for tums...PLEASE tell me this shit is immediately relieved once I push this kid out, oi, lol.
Also, cutesy moment. LO never let's DH feel him kick for more than a minute. This morning DH held his hand on my belly for like a solid half hour while the little guy kicked the crap outta him...he was loving every second of it :x
Glad you'll be going home soon @Lilwatz! Great news!
I wasn't on much yesterday due to a busy day at work, so trying to catch up more now. I also am awaiting a call to see if I need to make a court appearance for a fake prescription I caught in the pharmacy last April. Seriously? It's mid-October. Like I even remember the details at this point..grr...
I have a random question if anyone has any experience. We did our registry mainly on BRU, but I added a few random things on amazon. The swing I wanted was on my BRU registry and was pricey ($159). I forgot that I had a cheaper option on amazon ($60), which is what I received at my shower. I know people say every baby is different with regards to if they'll even like a swing, so would you return the cheaper one and get the more expensive or just try out the cheaper one first? Also, I did not get a gift receipt with it, so not even sure returning it to amazon would be an option? thoughts?
Yay Chloe! Glad to hear you get to go home @lilwatz! How gross is it that there are ants in there though.... yuck!
Poor little DS had a rough thanksgiving weekend - his older cousins manhandled him all weekend (he doesn't really like people in his bubble) and our in-laws' big dogs kept barking in his face and scaring the crap out of him, plus he's had a sty (stye?) on his eye for months that keeps going away and coming back and going away, this morning his eye was swollen half shut. Anyone have experience with getting rid of a sty?? We've been putting warm compresses on it, which sometimes helps, sometimes not.
As for me, everything is swollen, and as if I didn't feel like a whale already, my mom made a point of telling everyone at thanksgiving that "it's only been in the last month or so that she's really plumped up, especially in the face"... thanks mom.
I'm sick. Like I wasn't exhausted enough already let's add being sick. We have a busy week planned and me being sick is going to make it harder. I'm just going to hope the baby doesn't decide to make an early appearance.
Good morning bumpers! Just heard Chloe passed her jaundice test numbers (she's been high for about a day). Looks like we are getting discharged.
Happy Tuesday!!!!
Yay! This is the best news!
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
Walked into Starbucks this morning and a random guy said "Getting coffee for the baby? Gotta keep him jumping!" How do I respond to that??
Went to the maternity consignment shop for a few things and got carried away. I did get the ErgoBaby infant insert and a Moby Wrap on a huge discount though.
I really don't get how maternity sizes are supposed to be based on your pre-pregnancy size. I'm usually an XS or S and have gone from a maternity S to not being able to fit a L over my belly.
I'm annoyed that the hospital hasn't called back to set up an appointment for checking the car seat install. I got a call and when I said hello the phone was slamed down and we were disconnected.
@Curlyfries851 last time I was kind of amazed that ALL my pregnancy symptoms went away as soon as he was born! No heartburn, no back pain, no Charlie horses. It was practically instantaneous.
Of course, it was followed by a whole slew of other symptoms, but let's not talk about that right now.......

I'm so sick on my family. My sister kept calling this morning asking if I got my lab results back. So I call and ask my office and they say my labs all look good. So like a dumb ass I call my sister and tell her. Her response is "oh, good. I told you're fine. They will now not take urine into account." I tried explaining that, that's not how it works and yes they still need to look at my urine collection. She said "no blood trumps urine." She theb asks if I check my blood pressure today and I say yes and tell hher it's 138/90 and she goes "see you're fine. That's lower than yesterday. " Then she tells me it's all in my head just like my HG and I'm fine.
Like dude shut up. You are so annoying.
LOL! I would ask your sister since when does she have a medical degree?
@FhSTAR81 I would want to throat punch her! Especially after saying that the HG was just in your head! Grrr.... On a different note, I'm still sick, but my mom is making me chicken noodle soup to pick up after I get off work. I love that she still does that :x
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
Had my appt this morning. Doctor is bringing me in for an u/s tomorrow morning to check baby's size- she thinks he's very large. Everything else is OK, including my blood pressure.
Got my baby carrier in the mail from my Grandma! I am excited for a weird reason - i changed my mind about the one I registered for, so I was hoping I'd get it so I could exchange it! I'm getting a K'tan! I tried it on in store and really liked it. Hopefully I'll still like it with a baby in it.

so excited for a possible discharge @lilwatz
