Best place to buy nursery furniture and decorations?

We've finally decided on a color scheme for baby girl's room-tiffany blue and lavender. The walls are going to be light gray with one tiffany blue accent wall, and decorations/crib bedding etc. will hopefully be lavender. The problem is that I'm not seeing many lavender decorations. I looked at Hobby Lobby today and they have such cute stuff, but nothing that goes with my color scheme! I'm also still in need of a dresser/changing table combo and glider for the nursery, so if you have any suggestions on where to shop for them I would appreciate it! We looked at Babies R Us but the prices seemed ridiculous and I wasn't sure about the quality. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Re: Best place to buy nursery furniture and decorations?

  • I would suggest Amazon or Target- that's where I've bought the majority of my baby furniture. I agree with PP- Etsy is a great place to find decorations, mobiles, wall decals, etc.

  • Ebay! I always look there for decorations and you can limit your search to match what colors you want.
  • Pottery barn baby and restoration hardware have lavender bedding... The bumpers are the expensive part, and you shouldn't be getting those anyways, so just check out their sheets and skirts. I think they're pretty cute, and their quality is great.
  • How crafty are you? I wanted a certain style of dresser in a very specific shade of green that I knew I wasn't going to find so I looked on craigslist, found a dresser I liked and painted it myself. LOVE it. And it was significantly cheaper then buying it new anywhere. I also had my curtains made because I couldn't find anything I liked and again, had a specific shade of green I wanted. Turns out when I finally decide on something I can never find it so I resort to making it myself or paying someone else to.

  • @kc192‌ I can be crafty if I try, I just usually don't have the time. I may have to do some things on my own, though!
  • I bought all my furniture on Wayfair.com. A ton to choose from and reasonably priced and got my crib and glider delivered within 3 days.

  • I make a lot of my decorations. But you could also try etsy. For furniture I like IKEA. Otherwise I just keep am eye out for things I like.
  • We used lavender for my daughters room. I just googled "Lavender nursery" and bought things off of random sites that I liked. We've also got some stuff from Pottery Barn, which has a lot of lavender, but it's more pricey.

  • Even though we don't have an actual nursury yet, we've got everything to go in it. I bought most of the furniture at Ikea and the decor off of Etsy.

  • We found a glider online at Costco that had pretty good reviews and was the shade if gray we wanted. It was reasonably priced too- most gliders are super expensive!
