So frustrated...

I'm 21 days post D&C and my bloodwork from Friday says my HCG is still at 2000.  The Dr said "it's dropping, come back in a week to check it again."  I thought D&C's were supposed to move things along more quickly re: HCG levels.  And I'm still bleeding off and on.  I'm frustrated because I'm 36, my husband is 37 and we don't have all the time in the world.  I have irregular long cycles...so by the time this works it way out of my system and I have a normal period it's going to probably be 2015!  Just crying sitting here because I just want this to be over.

I'm so sorry hun! I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. Fx that your body gets its ass in gear and those levels drop fast. ((Hugs))

Oh no!!!! Does he have any insight as to why your levels are still so high? I was still getting positive pregnancy tests last week (last I checked was Wednesday) and finally this morning I got a BFN, 18 days post natural miscarriage. My baby was lost at 8w 2d and baby only measured 6 weeks, so I'm just assuming you had a bit more HCG in your system than me. 

My RE said last week at my follow up that it will prob be another 4 weeks until my period starts (my sono indicated I was not growing any follies yet, obviously since I still have HCG in my system). Trust me, I totally get being done because you're anxious to try again. I'm 35 and hubby is 36, so I feel the same exact way about not having all the time in the world. It's beyond frustrating, especially since I'm about to come up on the 1 year anniversary of trying for a second. I'd be lying if I thought it was going to take this long (with DS I got KU in two months of NTNP) and I also didn't think I would end up needing an RE. It all just plain sucks, right?! Big hugs.

P.S. I just went to the bathroom and there was a gush of blood also. 21 days since the first day of bleeding. I'm so over the spotting/bleeding!

@katie0919, I didn't talk to the Dr. yet (I get an electronic message from the Dr's office)...but my guess is that because the baby was 8 weeks along (discovered at 11 weeks) my HCG levels were higher than some others??  I read online that weeks 8-10 are a peak in HCG...  At least I'm praying that's the case, and not that they missed some tissue.  Like you I'm also having days where I don't bleed at all, and then suddenly will again.  I'm not even taking pregnancy tests to check because really what's the point when my levels are so high... UGH.  It's not like I'm ready to move on yet emotionally but I wish my body was physically moving on.
