  • I go back to work Thursday, which is upsetting enough, but stupid employee health is making me go in today to get checked out to make sure I'm able to return to work. My OB faxed them a note saying I can return to full duty, but stupid employee health was like "oh we need to check your incision and make sure everything is healed." You think my OB didn't do that already?? Let me enjoy my last few days with DD!!

  • Driving DH to the airport at 4 a.m. and a mother effin deer jumped in front of our car on the interstate. Now DH's car is beat up and we have to spend $500 on the deductible rather than putting it in the fund for my new vehicle. And the hassle of replacing our car seats.

It also means my accident record is no longer clean, darn it.

Question, does anyone know if the new Chicco Keyfit infant seats would still fit in an older model base? I was just thinking and wondering if we'd have to replace the base that is in my car if we have to get a whole new seat.

  • Dear boss,

When you ignore my emails I get irritated. When you mess up my check and take forever to fix it, if ever, I get irritated. When you delegate tasks, but no authority to do the tasks, I get irritated. When you keep me from doing my job, I get irritated. When you get mad at me for going around you to get things done and start your passive aggressive behavior, I get irritated.

    Sincerely,

    Looking For A New Gig

  • Too tired to properly bitch but I love MBF. I hate this situation of not being awake enough for decent bitching.

One night a month?  No way would that cut it - let him know!

  • Alright, I've got one. Flat-pack furniture.
What I have here is a box taller than me and possibly also heavier than me which is just that little bit too wide to get a decent grip on. It says 1 person assembly on the box and it probably is but it's an upstairs furniture item so needs 2 people to lift it to get it up the stairs in the first place. Why say 1 person assembly but be 2 person carry? As it stands, I'll have to make 46 trips up the stairs with a couple of pieces at a time to be able to build the damn thing!
I hate you, flat-pack furniture people and your backwards logic.
  • I had to go to the midwife to check my iud is still where it's supposed to be. I left the kids at home with their dad. I've been in the waiting room for an hour. I hate being away from the kids and this will put me in rush hour traffic on the way home. Also. There are people in the waiting room that is talking baby talk to their kids who Appear to be about 18 months old and can't understand why they won't talk. Maybe because you call a snack an ack

  • I hate our public printer/copy station.  Because it's contracted out, when anything goes wrong with it we can't give refunds here (it has to be through the vendor, which is not us.)  Things often go wrong with it, so people bitch at us about it and how unfair it is.  You know what's more unfair than you losing fifty cents to a printer?  Getting bitched at all day by people because all you can offer is a phone number to call because we can't do refunds on site.

    So.  Freaking.  Annoying.

  • My husband hates road trips. And every time we take one to see family (3-4 hour car trip) he bitches and moans about how it was the dumbest thing to do. And then he is grumpy and pouty when we are trying to spend time with family. To the point where people are asking me if he is ok.
I don't know if he got broken evacuating hurricane Rita or what, but he refuses to really talk about it, other than saying "WE ARE NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN! maybe when your nieces graduate" which would be in 7 years. Seriously?
Then I tell him that I can just go without him and he acts all pissy because people will judge him for abandoning his family for road trips.
Either accept that you won't do road trip or get help. Don't make your, mine and everyone else's trip miserable.

@LeaLupins‌ your insurance might pay for car seat replacement. But, I think you'll need a whole new infant seat, not just the base, because of the concern that the accident put strain on where it attaches. It's great that you are all okay!!
I think she was replacing the seat and not the base. Either way I think you need to repalce both
I was thinking she had a base in her car and a base in DH's car and the seat was with DH's car when the accident happened. So, she'd have to replace the seat and the base in DH's car because of the accident (fortunately each Chicco Keyfit seat comes with a base when you buy it), but was wondering if the new seat she bought was still going to be compatible with the second base in her car that was NOT in an accident.

@LeaLupins - Inquiring minds want to know! ;)
Yes, this! lol  I know we'll have to replace the seat and base from DH's car but I'll have to call Chicco and see if the base that was in my car is compatible with a newer model seat or if we'll have to buy a new base for my car, as well.

I almost feel guilty trashing car seats that are probably okay but safety first of course.

  • I have several today.

    1) DH: True, I didn't know you as a teen/young adult. Sure, I will believe that you were a great hockey and lacrosse player. I have heard many, many stories about your rough and tough sports games and injuries. I truly feel for you. I want to know, however, how you became such a whiny bitch that you complain if your 12 week old daughter bends your finger, or if you have to kneel down to play with her. I have to give her all her baths because it's a bit sore for you. Trust me, if I thought for a second that you had a legitimate injury I wouldn't be a jerk. But you are 36, not 80, and you just had a full physical with a clean bill of health...the doctor wouldn't prescribe anything for you. Your daughter is 10 lbs, you are 200. She is not hurting you. She doesn't hurt me, and I am not an athlete and weigh a lot less. Stop being a pansy!!

    2) Another for DH (sorry). We mutually decided I would return to work for a while before I SAH. We mutually decided we would give our daughter breast milk. So why is it no big deal to you that you mislabeled her milk for day care (5 oz wrong), so I got called in because she ran out mid day? I had to leave my job 3 hours early, I am now pumping in the middle of the night to make up for extra milk while you sleep, and you don't even blink an eye. If I am going back to work I need to WORK and not have to look bad by leaving early because of your screw up! At least apologize! :(

Reading over these...it seems like I am being overly harsh to DH, but based on a lot of crap lately I just needed to vent. Thanks, ladies.
