Carpal Tunnel?

Anyone here had carpal tunnel? I'm going to call my dr once they open but I had the most intense burning in my right hand last night while I was sleeping. It really only affected my thumb, forefinger and middle finger. The burning was awful - like Icy Hot X100. I couldn't even decide if it was burning or freezing. I kept looking at the skin expecting to see blisters or something but it looks totally normal. It hurt so bad it woke me up multiple times, I probably got about 5 hours of sleep in 1-2 hour increments. I found if I moved my fingers around or ran them under cold water it actually felt better, but would return the minute I was still. I'm at work now and it is slighly painful but nothing like last night. I used dr google and it seems like this is a possibility. If you had this though, does this sound similar to what you went through?

Just got the call back from my OB. She thinks it's pregnancy swelling related, and wants me to give it a few more days to see if it resolves/gets better before I come in. I am really hoping I can get some sleep tonight, the pain last night was awful.

Be sure to stay hydrated too. Mine is much worse when I'm dehydrated.

I had carpal tunnel so bad my last pregnancy but it didn't arrive until 30 weeks but it was so bad that I couldn't hold a pen, it would just slip out of my hands. It was in both hands, and I would have had to stop work but my doctor suggested the steroid injections which were safe. I had them done once in both of my hands and it was amazing. I was back to work in a couple days and delivered 5 and a half weeks later and didn't have any problems after. I am hoping this pregnancy it does not come at all! Good luck, braces and heat/ice did not help in any way. I wish you luck, it totally sucks!

I got it in both of my hands starting at 27 weeks. It would wake me up at night. The night I gave birth I was in tears from the pain in my hands from the saline. I ended up getting a brace but now at 9 weeks post delivery it has finally gone away.
