I just had a really pleasant experience at the DPS replacing my driver license. It almost makes up for how awful and bloated I looked in the picture they took.
Quiet day today just did some cleaning. SO is home from work now so he's cuddling ds. I'm about to stuff diapers then make supper..... Yay exciting stuff goin on here today!
What are those ugly ass black birds that are loud as fuck all hours sit on power lines for miles or in the bushes in front of Walmart and make me scared to pass like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds.?"
Ds only slept for an hour and now is an emotional mess. He is crying because dh isn't home from work. Then he upended his bowl of goldfish in a rage....he is now crying on timeout. Argh
Sitting at the mall with DS. He is eating a dog cupcake. Not sure what makes it for dogs but it is like.... $1.50 versus the $3.50 human cupcakes. He seems to like it.
Omg everyone. I asked the difference and she said the other lyrics difference between the human and dog cupcakes is that the dog one has no sugar. EVERYONE CHILL.
I just spent five straight days with both children and sharing a room/bed with the little one. I've never been so ready to go to work in my life. Peace, quiet, and no fucking Dora.
Reese is asleep---sometimes I love NO nap days. We do mandatory quiet time for about an hour or so, where in the hospital she has to lay in bed and watch tv with no talking; at home she plays with her quiet toys in her room.
Because of the no naps, she is asleep by 6:30 for the night!
Can you de-emphasize sleep at the current nap time? Maybe bring her to her room for quiet time, but let her know it's ok to play or read quietly?
It would still give you a break, and she'd get a rest to recharge for the remainder of the day.
DS1 (almost 3.5) definitely still naps most days. But lately I've been hearing him play for awhile in his room before napping. Sometimes I don't think he gets into bed until an hour into nap, but he usually does fall asleep eventually. Either way, I think it's enough less sleep that bedtime hasn't changed.
Re: Random oddities and such
Married DH 7/30/11

CHC arrived 6/2/14
Really need to chill on the pizza and beer.
This is great. I literally LOLed.
