What can I expect with just being diagnosed with Preeclampsia?

I was admitted to L&D with blood pressure of 126/94. My 24 hour urine result was 318. All my blood work on my organs looked good. Ultrasound and stress test looked good as well. I am 35 weeks pregnant. They let me leave hospital but I am to call my dr first thing in the morning and to schedule bi weekly appointments. Anybody been through this? How does this affect L&D?

My experience with Pre-E was an induction with my first at 37 weeks that ended in a successful vaginal delivery. I was given magnesium postpartum as my Pre-E worsened after baby was born (which is NOT common, very rare). Although I never had HBP pre-pregnancy, after my Pre-E experience my HBP never resolved and I am still on meds and most likely always will be to control it.

Overall, though it is a scary diagnosis, it is very manageable as long as you are closely monitored. GL!

My c-section is scheduled for Nov 11 and am being monitored now with pre-e! It's awful Momma, hang in there. The headaches are creeping in and I doubt I'll make it much passed 37 weeks. Just trying to get another day under my belt with 15 mon old twins at home. REST as much as you can in between all that monitoring.

Thank you all so much. I have only had one headache so far and it was horrible. Blood pressure up to 145/95 today so it's getting higher. Dr wants to induce between 37 weeks and 37 weeks 6 days.
