Shoes!

Is your LO wearing shoes yet? We bought some cute little 0-3 month sandals when she was 2 months old thinking she would be wearing them soon. Well fast forward to now almost 5 months....they still don't fit her! So she's stuck wearing her socks that "look" like shoes ;-)

Re: Shoes!

  • We bought one pair of shoes for a wedding and they lasted on her feet basically until the bride had made it down the aisle. I think they're still too big and that was in Aug. She wears socks and tights but with winter coming I've been thinking more and more about needing to get something else. Not that she'll be playing in snow but I think little boots would keep her feet warmer in the freezing temps.

  • Only socks here. DD kicks off any shoes I attempt to put on. She's been pulling socks off lately and I keep having to hunt around the house, car, store, etc. to find at least one sock if not both!
  • She can barely keep socks on so we haven't even thought of shoes yet.

We have a few pairs of adorable shoes we got as gifts but I just can't bring myself to put them on him at this age. It seems like more of a pain than anything (take the shoes off for diaper change, can't wear a sleeper all day, etc.). I wish the pairs we have were in a size he'll be in when he's walking :/

  • We have some awesome moccs that I found on etsy. They stay on really well and even work with socks underneath. They shop is called bedtime rebel if you want to check them out.
  • Nope. DD1 didn't wear shoes until she started walking (even though we were gifted at least 10pairs). I don't plan on putting DD2 in shoes until she walks either. Besides I tend to put her in footed pajamas rather than shirt and pants anyways when it's cold.

  • I wish I felt motivated enough to put shoes on DD. We have lots of shoes that were purchased or handed down that are adorable but I'm just now putting socks on her and that's just bc it's getting cooler out (in Texas it's still relatively warm). I did just buy some adorable fuzzy boots though for when it actually gets cold.
  • DS has massive feet. He wears shoes all the time. He's taking steps when you hold his hands and it helps him not dig his toes into the ground. Plus they keep his socks on. We got him sized again yesterday, and he's wearing a size 4 currently.

  • Nope.  I find them pretty pointless until they start walking.  Crawling DESTROYS shoes.  If we lived in a colder climate I'd use a boot type for warmth.

Nope. My mom made her knit booties that adorable that we put on her when it's chilly. But no shoes yet. She was gifted a pair if pink/leopard print Toms though. And just because I can't hear 'shoes' without thinking of this:
    Is it these?

I bought them on Zulily in one size and could never find them again.

Close. These. Think she got them at Nordstrom. They are big though (4T?). Guessing they won't fit her for a while still.
  • DD was gifted a bunch of shoes, but I have the worst time trying to get them on. She curls her toes like crazy when I'm trying to put them on, so they don't fit right.
DD does wear socks all the time, but she has started pulling them off. I'm going to crochet some booties now that it's getting colder. Hopefully she will leave them on.

  • Found some booties from the baby shower and thought I'd give them a try. Still a little big but at least they are staying on for now. Those things are hard to get on!

I totally forgot, I have the exact same ones from my shower- I'll have to try them on her!
  • I just put my LO in his first pair of sneakers last week. I don't feel that they're a necessity, but I'm trying to get him used to wearing them for extra warmth through the winter. He'll need it in NJ especially if our winter is like last year. He also looks so cute in them! :)
  • She has 4 pairs of newborn size and 2 fit her while 2 are still a little big- I love her wearing baby shoes!
