Question About Toddler Boy Hurting Privates

We were just outside playing and my 3 year old started telling me he was hurt and he was holding his belly.  I only saw the accident out of the corner of my eye and it looked like he hurt his privates on the tricycle.  He's calm, not crying, but he is mopey and wanting me to hold him and still saying  it hurts.  How long would I expect this to hurt for?  It's been about 30 minutes.  DH is at work so I can't ask him.  Just hoping he is ok.
