I don't think my cat knows. He just continues to go about his daily activities of scratching up the carpet, licking the faucets, and plotting my destruction.
Lulubelle89 part of me wishes my cat would do that. She has done everything in her power to climb all over me today. And when I push her off she cries and comes back over and over again.
My German shepherd won't let me out of his site. When DH starts tickling me or playing around with me my dog starts whinning and trying to come in between us. Before he only followed DH around.
My dog definitely knows, he had been very two sided. One minute he's nasty with me and the next he wants to lay in my lap. He's not usually so moody but the last couple weeks it's been extreme.
Are you ladies planning to do anything to prep your puppies for new baby(ies)?
The shelter we got our cat at offers a class about prepping animals for a new baby, and I'm definitely planning on going to that when I'm further along. I'm honestly a little nervous about this - I don't think our cat would intentionally try and harm the baby, but he's pretty playful and feisty and I'm worried he might accidentally scratch LO.
I love my dogs dearly but they are driving me crazy. They definitely have to know. They are pretty big dogs and normally would jump up on me when I got home from work. H has been stopping that and they don't like it.
I have a maltese and she's been normal with the exception of acting more protective. She will bark at DH when he comes home from work and she never used to do that. It makes me laugh hahaha
I feel the same way. I don't think they are that different, but DH swears they know. One of my dogs is a hyper breed, and he's been a snuggle bug lately. But I think it's because he's getting older and he's been getting more affectionate over the past couple years. Not that's its been a crazy all of a sudden change.
I'm pretty sure our dog knows. She has been getting into stuff when left home alone. The only other time she got into stuff she shouldn't is when I was pregnant with DS.
Our husky is one of the reasons I tested. She only cuddled with me while I was pregnant with our first. She's been all over me this past week and following me every where. My DH was like, you're either pregnant or dying. Thank goodness it was the first option!
I think my cats know something is up. Last week when I thought I was having a CP two of them came over to me together (something they NEVER do) and snuggled with me together. They are usually pretty good about sensing when I am sad, but I just feel like they know it's something more than that. They are being more sweet and snuggly too. My female has been super attentive.

My puppy is stuck to my side like snuggly glue . He's normally crazy all the time and running around the house. All weekend I've been crazy nauseous and pretty much stuck on the couch and he's been right next to me the entire time.
I'm pretty sure my dog knows. He is normally very snuggly but will climb up on me and lay all of his weight on my stomach and the past two weeks he's been sure to lay on my legs or only put his head on my stomach and not ALL 90 Pounds Of him.
With our DD our one dog def knew, he stuck to me like glue and would hug my belly and then farther along would eat pickles with me (which normally he would not eat to save his life) when I had a craving. I didn't think he knew this time but I was craving ceasar salad and had some left after lunch and decided to see if he would eat it (usually he eats around the salad) and he gobbled it up.
My male cat lays over my uterus and purrs on O day. My female cat snuggled up with me for about an hour until I fell asleep - she NEVER calmly snuggles, except with DS.
DH says our chocolate lab knows... She is always by his side or Laying outside the door if he is in a room. But this week she is all about me maybe she does...
My pup knows. I think she knew before I did. I would take her to the dog park to play and when any other dogs came up to be she would bolt to wherever I was and push them out of the way. Usually she could careless. Oh and she's super snuggly and attached at the hip.
It seems impossible to me that Grendel (the pittie mix in my siggy) could know--but he is ALL OVER ME lately. He's in my lap constantly. He follows me from room to room and is incredibly needy. So maybe he does--especially since so many of you guys are having the same experiences with your pups.
