Dr. Mixing Pitcher

Some ladies have recommended this item. I guess I keep thinking about whether or not the formula is equally distributed throughout the batch. I know its mathematical there is a certain amount of formula per certain amount of water but I was wondering if formula might settle a little and be off. I typically just make up a few bottles at a time and refrigerate them until needed. Just wondering if ladies feel that the pitcher is a more efficient method.

I love the pitcher so much we have two of them. Makes mixing large batches so much easier.

I love the pitcher. The formula is actually more evenly distributed than when I make individual bottles. It also cuts down on the bubbles.

I may need it too! The generic formulas are so hard to mix. How does it handle those?

This.  That pitcher is the single most awesome baby feeding related item I've owned through two FF babies.

Just out of curiosity, how do yo know its more evenly distributed?

Curious...for those that use the pitcher, do you warm the bottles before giving to LO or give them cold? What do you do for MOTN? Go to kitchen to get the bottle & then wait for it to warm? Assume when you are out you just mix as needed so you don't have to keep refrigerated on the go?

It doesn't matter what kind of formula it is.  It's all the same stuff.


Have you ever bought Up and Up or Parent's Choice? Huge difference in how they mix compared to big brands. The powders are not nearly as fine. They are very hard to mix.

you got it right. this is what we do.

I've used the Up and up and the Kroger brand, and they mixed fine, just took a little longer to mix. You can see if everything is dissolved while youre mixing, so just don't stop pumping the handle until it is. Once it's fully dissolved, it stays that way. As for MOTN, I know you're not supposed to, but I use the microwave once I pour formula into a bottle. I don't heat to get it warm, just to get around room temperature so it's not so cold for LO.
