I've been MIA for a reason! :-)

Yes!!! I had my little squish!!!!! At 39w 2days (10-9-14) at 12:32pm after laboring for 12 hrs and about 15 mins of pushing, Elliott made his way into the world!

I went in for my induction Wednesday night (due to GD) and was already 3-4cm dilated, 50% and having contractions 2-4 mins apart and they weren't even sure that they would need to give me pit cause I was doing well on my own but after a few hrs my contractions became less intense. So they started pit and I got my epi around 2:30am. At 6:30am, dr came into check me and I was still at a 4cm and 80%, so he broke my water. Nothing happened for a couple hours and I was feeling pretty good, except for about a 5-10 min time frame in which I instantly felt nauseous and threw up around 9 or 9:30ish (looking back I realized this was probably a transition thing going on)... then I started feeling pressure (but no urge to push bc of the epi). At 10am, dr came in to check me and I was 10cm and 100% but baby was at +1, so they waited for me to get ready and tell them when I wanted to start pushing.

I waited for about 2hrs (waiting for the epi to wear off so I could feel the urge to push) and during that time my contractions were getting stronger and more painful, at 12:18 I decided to start pushing and at 12:32, baby Elliott came into the world!

At first they said he weighed 9 lbs 3oz, then the girl said he was 9lbs even and 20 inches long. Well the next day my nurse came in and said that there was no way he was a 9 lb baby bc he only weighed 8 lbs only 12 hrs later and the scale must not have been calibrated right, so with the avg wt loss of about 5%, that would put him at about 8lbs 3oz at birth. By the time we left today he was down to 7 lbs 11oz. So it looks pretty bad on paper but they called the pedi to let them know about the error.

I am finally home enjoying both of my boys! I am so blessed!!!! Elliott looks exactly like Emmett did when he was born! So unbelievable!
