Bottle Question

Question about bottle feeding. I EBF and we've recently introduced a bottle to get LO (6 weeks old) used to before I go back to work. We have been very lucky that Clara takes it easily, but I noticed that it looks like she is collapsing the nipple when sucking. She also spits up a lot afterwards. If she nurses she spits up a little once or twice after eating, but last night she spit up multiple times over about 15 minutes. The nipple collapsing makes me think we should go up a flow in nipple (she's on the lowest now), but the spitting up makes me think she's gulping a lot of air. Thoughts?

As far as collapsing the nipple, I would try a different brand. Our LO did that with the Madela bottles and lansinoh. We use advent naturals and it is no longer a problem. When she was collapsing the nipple, we had issues with gas and spit up.

My LO has used medela bottles from the beginning. Just last week she's started collapsing the nipples. Why now? Do we need different bottles, a faster flow?

My LO collapsed any nipple that seamed to be to small for him. We use the mam mostly now and he really likes those. I think they are closest to breastfeeding that we've used

Nipple collapser here too (Madela), but it doesn't make him spit up. Preston spits up a lot after gulping down milk when it's cold (bottles in public that I don't warm up).

I have a question how people are preparing the drop in bottles - are you warming up in a different bottle and transferring, or making the formula at room temperature?
