I finished it. I thought besides the ruby/hank stuff the episode was good. I just really like the relationships on this show. I'm so sad it is going off the air. I think I'm going to start it from the beginning again
I don't know. I like the Hank storyline. They're dealing with something no one really does...an adult with Aspergers trying to navigate life and relationships, and parenting and coparenting with an ex are pretty huge relationships. Ruby is a little too stereotypical and not a very believable actress though, and not a likable character.
But Hank is a secondary character...I don't want his estranged daughter or ex-wife (neither of which I care about) to hog precious airtime in the FINAL, shortened season.

I hated Betsy Brandt on Breaking Bad and I can't stand her on Parenthood. The Hank/daughter storyline might be tolerable if she wasn't a part of it.
Re: Parenthood 10/9
I loved how Drew handled the situation, but just getting in the car and driving 18 hours seemed questionable at best.
For everything that they have been through I love how much they love each other still.
