Late to the game, but I can't recommend Dr. Harvey Karp's (Happiest Baby on the Block) white noise CD enough. We downloaded it and started playing it on our iPod speakers on repeat when my toddler went through the 4 month sleep regression. It helps us all sleep better newborn included.
