Another newbie :)

Hi everyone : )

 

I’ve been reading posts from this site for a while now but just recently joined. This is my first post (I’ve read the newbie “blog”) so I hope I’m doing this right lol, if not, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to go back and do it right. My BF and I have been trying to conceive for over 6 years. I started charting and using opk’s years ago, so I knew exactly when I O’d but still nothing was happening.  In 2012, we finally saw a RE and well, we were given the following diagnostic: DOR, Endo and low motility. I’ve done 2 IUIs and 5 IVFs between 2012-2013. Since doing all those treatments can be very hard (physically and psychologically), at this time, we are just doing monitored cycles with Ovidrel and prog. Supplement and keeping our fingers crossed. I’m hoping to be able to provide information and support to others. I also hope that this wasn't to long and boring to read, lol.

    Me: 36, DH:37

    Married 4/2010, TTC since 7/2011

    Dx: Officially Unexplained (I have Polycystic Ovaries diagnosed via ultrasound, but few classic PCOS symptoms, he has mild MF issues. So... not issue free, but nothing so severe as to explain IF)

    I also deal with post-surgical Hypothyroidism following Thyroid Cancer in 2009, but under control with Levothyroxine

    4 months Clomid (thinned lining) and 10 months Letrozole (every indication that I responded perfectly)

    6 failed IUIs in 2013, 3 with trigger

    IVF #1 in March 2014

    ER 3/21/14, 31R/21F, 12 frosties!

    ET 3/26/14, 1 perfect blast transferred: BFN

    FET#1 5/28/14, 2 "beautiful" early blasts transferred. BFP!!

    Beta #1 (6/11/14) 798; Beta #2 (6/18/14) 7,966.

    1st u/s (6/25/14) showed 2 sacs, 1 empty & 1 with a beautiful little bean doing what it needs to do!

    EDD 2/14/15, missed miscarriage, DX: Trisomy 21. D&C 8/1/14

    FET#2 Transferred 3 embies, 2 looking pretty good, one not so much. BFN.

    IVF#2 January 2015, tentative ER 1/23

    Thank you Dyork :). I really hope I will be able to share with others (I don't know everything, but I still know more then I care for) and learn a few things myself :). IF sure is hard so I believe that everyone deserve the best support they can get :).I saw your intro, I really hope you'll only have to do this once :)

    Me: 40,DH: 48, Married 10/07/2011, TTC since 09/2011, 03/2012 Started Clomid, 04/2012     Clomid, 05/2012 Clomid, 06/2012 Went to RE, he found a plum size fibroid in uterus, husband has low sperm count, 06/06/2012 Removed fibroid, 08/2012 Hysteroscopy
    IVF #1 October 2012 - Retrieved 8 eggs, 5 fertilized, 10/13/2012 Transferred 3 embryos - 8, 5, and 4 cells,     the other 2 eggs did not survive freezing, 10/26/2012 BFP!! Beta: 11, 10/26/12 Beta: 2 = Chemical Pregnancy
    IVF #2 - March 2014 - Mini IVF - Retrieved 5 eggs, 4 fertilized, 4 Frosties - 8, 9, 7, and 7 cells all in good condition. 
    IVF #3 - May 2014 - Mini IVF - Retrieved 2 eggs, 2 fertilized, 2 Frosties - 6 and 8 in good condition. 
    FET #1 - September 2014 - Transferred 2 embryos - both 8 cells - BFN
    FET#2 - November 2014 - Transferred 2 embryos - BFN
    FET#3 - February 2014

    5/2014 Possible mild PCOS in addition to hyperprolactinemia??
    7/2014 Adding probable tubal factor to the diagnosis list
    9/2014 And now adding hypothyroid to the list- Started synthroid 9/2014
    Cycles 1-4 - Sept.-March- All Anovulatory 
    IUI #1 March/April-  Clomid 50mg + Clomid 100mg +Trigger + IUI #1 = BFN
     IUI #2 April/May-Clomid 100mg + Clomid 150mg + Trigger + IUI #2 + Endometrin=BFN
    IUI #3- June- Follistim 75iu + Trigger + IUI #3  Benched due to a 40 mm cyst. :-(
    IUI #3- July- Follistim 75iu + Trigger + IUI #3 + Endometrin = BFP! on 7/25/14
    Slowly rising betas - Ectopic suspected on 8/8/14 & confirmed on 8/11/14
    Methotrexate on 8/12/14 -HCG negative on 9/2/14
    IVF #1- November- Antagonist protocol: 11/1: start stims, 200iu of Follistim; 11/12 ER 17R/14M/14F; 11/17 5 day transfer of two blasts, 2 blasts and 2 expanding morulas frozen; 11/22 BFP!! (On FRER at 5dp5dt)
    Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
    u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat

    Me- 35, mild hypothyroidism

    DH- 29, low count due to a chromosomal abnormality, only option is IVF/ICSI with PGD.

    Married 5/13

    TTC since 8/13

    IVF/ICSI #1 ER 9/14 - 14R, 6M, 6F, 5 blasts off to PGD- 1 normal female, 2 balanced males

    FET 12/8 of 2 frosties - 1 male/1 female - stick babies stick! 

    Beta #1 10dp5dt 444! Beta #2 14dp5dt 2,340!  U/S 1/5-- TWINS!!!  EDD 8/26/15

    Hello :) I'm new, as well. It sounds like you've had a lot of experience with infertility. Very frustrating! Good luck on your continued journey!
    TTC since March 2013

    HSG: Sept 2014, clear tubes

    Dx: MFI - Low motility, morph, count (Aug. 2014); Hypothyroidism (May 2015)

    Moved to IUIs October 2014

    IUI #1 w/ injections:  Nov 2014- BFN

    IUI #2 w/ injections:  Jan 2015- BFN

    IUI #3.1 w/ injections:  Feb. 2015, cancelled due to cysts- 10 days BCP

    IUI #3.2 w/ injections:  Feb/March 2015- BFN

    IUI #4 w/ 100mg Clomid +  Injections:  August 2015- BFN

    IUI #5 w/ 5mg Femara + Injections:  September 2015- BFN

    IUI #6 w/ 5mg Femara + Injections:  October 2015 - Cancelled due low response

    Moved to IVF May 2016 

    Retrieved 18 eggs on 05/27/2016, 13 were ICSI'd, 9 made it to day-five transfer

    Transferred 2 beautiful day-five embryos on 06/01/2016, froze 7

    BFP 4dp5dt on 06/05/2016!  Line continued to darken beautifully!

    EDD:  February 17, 2017

    Beta #1:  92

    Beta #2:  305 

    Ultrasound #1 - one baby!

    Ultrasound #2 - saw heartbeat!
