You do realize you posted this on the board for gals who are already pregnant after IF, right? I would not encourage you to post this on the 3T or IF boards. It's really not what someone in the middle of injects or a failed treatment wants to hear. I also had surprise bfp after we decided to be cf so it does happen. Congrats on the bfp
TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism.
BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI
2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d
D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.
Did you take a pregnancy test before starting birth control? I would think that would be routine before starting any medication for a new cycle. Get on a prenatal, stat!
This post also kind of bugged me because, as you've been through IVF before, you likely know those "it happened to me!" stories really don't give much hope to others, it just kind of feels like rubbing it in their faces. And it perpetuates the myth that infertility is somehow in our heads or "cured" by pregnancy.
Fact is, 20% of those who need fertility treatment to conceive their first child will spontaneously conceive a future child. It does happen, no one denies that, and we all hope for it. The reality is, though, that the majority of us who had trouble the first time will have trouble again. So banking on that surprise BFP is usually more painful than inspirational.
Congrats on being part of the 20% to conceive on your own! I hope I am that lucky when we TTC #2.

I agree... maybe this would be better suited in "Success after Infertility".
It's awesome for others but really discouraging for those like me who went through the ringer to get 1 baby and were left with no fallopian tubes, etc. I had to have mine removed and will obviously never get pregnant again unless we do another IVF/FET. Just a heads up so you can be a little more sensitive to others going through the process.
Good luck to you.
