Need advise. X-ray question.

Okay so I need some advise.. I'm a dental assistant and take x-Rays all day everyday!! I told the dr I work for I was pregnant and he said he doesn't want me to take x-Rays during the first trimester! Then.. A week later he called me in his office and said I need to start taking them again... I told him I didn't feel comfortable. He wants to let me go for the first trimester if I don't do X-rays... Please help! Need advise
