SUV cargo divider

I have a small SUV and we keep LO's stroller and anything we buy from running errands in the back (groceries, cases of pop, etc).  I was thinking the other day, in a bad enough accident, wouldn't that stuff basically fly right into her?  From what I could tell, the nets or bars you can put up to block off the cargo area from the seating area all seem to be to keep pets back there, but are they also good to keep projectiles at bay?  Does anyone have one they recommend?

Re: SUV cargo divider

  • I have an SUV/truck with the hooks for cargo netting, but don't have netting.
I have bungee cords that I hook through everything (stroller, grocery bags, diaper bag). I know it's not 100% going to contain everything if we were to have a huge crash or roll, but it's better than everything being loose to start off.

I haven't looked into the cages, but for us, it wouldn't work. (Clarifying - it wouldn't work *For us*, not the truck)

  • Would one of those pull over covers work? image
Possibly, I'll have to do some research.

  • Dh brought this concern up to me today too. Now I'm freaked out but have no answers/remedies to the "problem". I'm unfortunately also messy, so my car is extra hazardous...
