Thoughts on Sebastian? Do you see it as a very popular name?

Sebastian is not very popular and I like gray.

I like Sebastian. I don't think it will suddenly start taking over as a top 100 name, I predict that it will stay fairly underused.

Neither Wesley nor Gray grabs me as a MN. I actually hate Gray (why don't you name him Blue or Green? They are much nicer colors and just as valid as names. I guess they are not trending?) so, I voted Wesley. I kind of like it bc of princess bride but in the mn spot I like to see something with meaning/tradition/excitement in it. Do Gray and Wesley have meaning for you? If you think they just sound good with Sabastien please give it another go. They both sound okay but I think you can do better.

They do have meaning. Wesley is my husbands name and Gray is a family name related to two very important family members. I'm big into names having meaning and not into trending.

Well, if you're not into trending then go with Wesley (I've met 2 baby Grays this year and heard about more from the Internet). If the popularity means less than the meaning to you Gray sounds fine.

Love Sebastian Gray!  Sebastian is at the top of our boy list.  I haven't met many and don't think it will get crazy popular.

I don't think Sebastian is popular, at least I don't know anyone with that name. I really like the flow of Sebastian Grey.

Love Sebastian. It's a top contender if we have another boy. I do see it as moderately popular, but not so popular that I wouldn't use it (and I have a popularity phobia).

I picked Gray because I don't like the 2-syllable middle name with it.

I like Sebastien Gray and I don't think Sebastien is too popular. I only know one baby Sebastien and he's adorable.

I love the name Sebastian! Great choice. I really think you could pick either mn- they both sound good. I will say, Sebastian Grey did make me think of Christian Grey and I haven't even read those books. That is my only caveat, and otherwise I thi you shuld decide what meaning you are more pulled towards.

ETA- looked it up and Seb, Bas, and Bastian are nick names.  Seb and Bas have the same feel as Dax, but he also has a longer name to fall back on.  Maybe that's why you are having second thoughts on Dax, that is was too short or seemed incomplete or something.  So I think Sebastian would really fit your style. 

I didn't ask, but I planned on it lol. If we decide Sebastian would be the name we change to that would be my next post. Nickname would probably be Bastian or Bash.
I don't hate Dax, it just doesn't seem right. I like it went I see it or when my daughter says it but it just doesn't feel right to say or hear other than that. I don't think it fits him.

I like it and voted for Gray because it is shorter and flows better with Sebastian being a long name.

I know two people named Sebastian.  One is my BIL, who is in his 40's.  Great guy.  The other is a 14 y/o kid in my karate class.  Also a great guy.

I don't care for Sebastian, but I wouldn't side eye it. I like Gray better bc I think Sebastian needs a shorter middle name.
