Update on me: CD 3 monitoring today

My period started on Tuesday, so we're officially starting our first treatment cycle. Today was my CD 3 monitoring appt. and everything went well. HCG was negative (duh), and I had a few follies on each ovary that were under 10mm, so that was good. I was given the green light to start Clomid Saturday (taking it CD 5-9), and then I have my next blood work/ultrasound appointment the following Saturday (CD 12). Hopefully it'll only take a few appointments before I'm given the go-ahead to trigger, and then we'll do IUI.

Kind of funny story from this morning....

I live about 40 minutes from my RE when there's no traffic, but in rush hour Boston traffic this morning, it took me 90 minutes to get there. When I got there, I had to pee, but I was late, and just wanted to get in and out as soon as possible so I could get to work, so I didn't go to the bathroom. When the nurse came in and started the u/s, her immediate reaction was, "Woah! Your bladder is huge! Like, it's distorting your uterus. Do you have pee?" I said I did and that I could go empty my bladder if she needed me to, but she said it was fine, she could see what she needed. Then she said, "Are you sure you're ok to do this?" I think she was afraid I might pee. She showed me the size of my bladder on the screen, but I have no clue what I'm looking at with an ultrasound, so it wasn't all that impressive to me. haha

I'll definitely remember to pee before the ultrasound next time if it's that obvious when I have to go!

BFP 5/22/13. Lap. to remove ectopic and dx with endo. 6/16/13

RE consult: June 2014

DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube

Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN

November 2014: Clomid+trigger+IUI again=BFP!

BFP 11/28/14 MC discovered 1/14/15

    Diagnosis: unexplained RPL, unexplained IF.

    Also have hypothyroidism

    Started TTC again 12/2013

     

    IUI#1:Clomid CD 3-7, Trigger'ed CD 12. IUI CD 14. BFN

    IUI #2:Letrozole CD 3 - 7, Follistim CD 9, Trigger CD 10, IUI CD12. BFN

    Current plan: IVF with PGD. Antagonist - Vivelle Protocal. Stim start 12/1. ER 12/14.

    Haha Best wishes on this cycle! Side note, I almost pee'd on the tech at my last ultrasound. Glad she let you go! ;))

    I'm trying to be hopeful about this cycle since we're finally stepping up our game and doing treatment. Clomid started last night, so I guess we'll see how this goes....
