have you seen this? (anencephaly story)

(Warning - You will cry... )

My husband showed my this article today. It is incredibly sad that these parents found out they would lose their baby at 13 weeks. I felt inspired reading about how they turned their tragedy into a positive experience.

If you look closely at the Mother's Day poster, the mom writes that she is the luckiest mommy in the world because of her little guy. I think sometimes I need to be reminded that I was lucky to have my baby boy too!

It's a girl! Baby Anna was born August 3, 2014!

Re: have you seen this? (anencephaly story)

  • I was reading about this story on their facebook page just the other day (I found it the same day they went in to be induced actually).   I think it is amazing that they were able to do the things they did, and celebrate the family they had while they could, and I imagine that the memories of some of those times will help carry them through some of the grief they will experience.
