I think the idea of induction sucks.

Eta... I also can't with the 77 days until Christmas thread. Can't we get through fucking Halloween first?

Agreed. Just the discussion of induction with my OB stresses me out. Can't they just come out when they're ready?! As long as everything looks healthy, of course.

  • I don't actually particularly like babies. They are pretty boring. I like teenagers much better than young children.

I love both -- but I spend a huge amount of time with teenagers and very little with babies (teacher). My teenager preference totally lies with older teens... I'm kind of over 8th graders at this point.

I teach high school. 8th grade *shudder.* I barely like my 9th graders! Haha. But honestly I like teenagers they are more rational and you can do more with them than babies. I think children are super cute! I just get bored/annoyed with them.

  • I am starting to hate posts where people complain about their Inlaws, parents, or DH/SO. I know there are legitimate situations where these people deserve a TP, but most of the time it's just silly IMO. Especially when it's complaining about their family not wanting them to do too much around the house or parents who just want to help in whatever way they can when LO arrives.

This UO is most likely due to my current situation with a mom in the hospital, and I would be thrilled if she went back to her overbearing self at this point. Perspective.

I feel so guilty when my inlaws annoy me just by loving LO so much. I realize it's stupid but have a hard time shutting it off because hormones and I wish it was my mom coming over all the time and trying to change her baby diapers. 12 hours from your mom is just too f*king far! That's all :-)

I get it, I have complained about my mom and my Inlaws in the past even though their intentions come from love. I am just in a sensitive place with it right now!

I used to teach high school -- seniors specifically, though I've taught 9th also -- but ended up back in 8th grade when I moved last year.  They are definitely a special breed.

Definitely thought my 9th graders were going to send me into early labor today. They want to hug me and chat in the hallway but then do not pay attention for anything in class! I think it's for the best I'm wrapping up at work tomorrow. I might lose it if I have to deal with any more moodiness than mine! But I really do like my job and students! Just not at 39weeks pregnant! :-w

I love being awake at 3am with my baby. Yes, it's exhausting, but I love when it's quiet and it's just the two of us.

I absolutely loved this with my some as well. I lived with my parents when he was born and it was so nice to just have alone time with him.

  • This might be more of a FFFC, but I don't feel excited about having a newborn. I'm excited for an older baby, like 3+ months, when they start doing stuff and showing affection. I'm just ready for this pregnancy to be over. I'm miserable and my tolerance for DD's shenanigans is slim to none right now...but then I remember how much work a nb is, and how tired I will be. Ugh. Someone just wake me up in January.

I feel like this might be me, and I get sad because three months is when I hand her over to someone else all day. How will she know I'm her mom? :\

I love titted for the induction part, and I would normally feel the same about Christmas cause I truly love Halloween, but we have a disneyland trip planned and the excitement is real!!
  • I too hate getting excited about upcoming holidays way to early.

I too am super freaked out about how we are dealing with Ebola. That shit freaks me out.

I don't mind being up at 3 so long as we get to sleep at some point.

Aside from the sore nipples, I'm loving having a newborn and think this will probably be the easiest time of his life for me. I don't want him to get a day older.
