How often to you bathe LO?

I think I only give DD a bath about once every 5 days or so.  I wipe her hands quite a bit because she's always sticking those in her mouth.  She goes to sleep really easy, so I don't need to incorporate a bath into her nightly routine.  I was just wondering how often everyone else bathed LO.  Also, what bath products do you use?  I'm using Burt's Bees bubble bath and a California Baby foaming soap/shampoo that the hospital gave us, and then Burts Bees lotion.  I can never decide if I like the smell or not.  What are you using?

  • Baths every other day before bed. We use Johnson and Johnson Calming lavendar stuff taht is supposed to help relax LO. I guess it works because LO becomes totally zen while in the tub.
  • At least every other day. He swears a lot, so I hate for him to feel dirty.

  • Usually every other day, but LO seems to LOVE the bath & DS#1 entertains him while he's in there, so sometimes it's every night. Also do it if LO gets fussy really early in eve, because he likes it so much & instantly calms him. I just use any unscented/ irritant free soap that is on sale.

  • Every 3 days or so. He does enjoy getting daily wipe downs, though.

  • Daily but only wash his hair every other day. We use Johnson and Johnson BedTime wash...we do this daily due to reflux and formula getting on LO daily and its part of our nightly routine
  • Every 2-3 days and I use Burt's Bees baby products.
  • We do bath for both kids every night as part of their routine. We just use Johnson and Johnson Baby soap. We'll skip a night every once in awhile if it's late or something came up but for the most part we stick to our routines.

We take a bath every other night.  She loves them and her neck folds, armpits, behind ears, and between fingers and toes get dirty quickly.  Right now I'm powering through the 2 bottles of baby shampoo that the hospital gave us but I've got some huge bottles of J&J waiting for us.  Once a week I use Selsum Blue (ped recommended) to help with the flaking on her scalp and forehead.

    Edit: for clarity

  • I bathe her with plain warm water every night because she loves it.  I only incorporate California baby with her bath once or twice a week.

  • We do baths every other day. She spits up a lot, and the smell really bugs my hubby. I wipe her down wherever she's spit up in between baths.
  • every night. it's part of our routine for bed time. followed by a lotion massage, jams, and either a few books or an episode of veggie tales.

  • I'm also in the daily bath camp (which probably is actually 5-6x per week because sometimes we are out and about and get home too late for a bath). The bath relaxes her before bed, and honestly I'm usually so tired by the end of the day and am at a loss for what else to do with her, so it's good to have an end of the day activity.

Haha same here! It's a super mild smell to me, but he has a really sensitive gag reflex. (Hello no poopy diaper changes!)

Love tit for babies who smell like boob milk, not that your DH doesn't do poopy diapers. We are both pretty good about taking turns but I'm pretty sure we rock paper scissored last week for one....

Edit: parent of the year ^
  • We do Monday, Wednesday, Friday and of course when needed. We like to use the Honest company shampoo and body wash on her.
  • Every night, but sometimes it's just to play and relax in the water. He always stinks because of the alimentum formula he drinks. Get that in the neck fold yuuuuck
  • Twice per week, but I wash face, skin folds on neck/legs and hands every morning.

We use Aveeno bath and lotion.
