I think I'll be (roughly) on time. I know this doesn't necessarily mean anything but at my appointment this morning dr said that the baby has descended into the pelvis, and baby has been measuring ahead all along although my due date is definitely accurate thanks to fertility treatment. I'm thinking somewhere between a few days before to a few days after my due date. We'll see!
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14) Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
I've been telling myself that I will be on time (scheduled induction for due date for health reasons), but I've felt a "shift" recently and I'm having fairly regular contractions on and off, so I have a feeling that he'll be a bit early. That coupled with the fact that doc is convinced I won't go past Oct 18th. I REFUSE to believe that though. I have told just about everyone I know that this kid is not allowed out before Oct 22nd. LOL! So we shall see how that goes....
I think early. Ds was 41wks and needed evicted but he was breech until 37wks, never dropped, and his cord was wrapped around his neck.
Baby girl is head down and dropped at 33wks. I will be 36wks on Saturday. I have had mommy intuition that she would come sometime during week 37 for most of my pregnancy (no idea why just a feeling) although I hope she waits until at least 38wks. Alittle over 2 more wks isnt too much to ask for
I votes SS... I'm already scheduled to induce at 39 weeks because Noob is so far ahead (3 weeks), but doc, nurse, hubby and i all think slash beg that he'll come sooner with my IU and constant contractions. At this point, Just as long as he makes it to 37 weeks I'll be happy!
I voted early. But to be honest I almost voted SS because I didn't want to jinx myself!!! I was 8 days early with my son. My mom delivered my sister early, and delivered me 2 weeks early. My cousin delivered her baby early (our moms are sisters, if that even matters). HOWEVER, my sister went past her due date, then was induced, and ended up with a c-section.
I think I was walking a little more before my son was born than I am now, so I think I'll "pick up the pace" and get back into good long walks! I don't want my baby coming too early. I do NOT want an October baby (due Nov 7). Sometime between Nov 1-9 is good for me, but if baby came on Nov 1st it would share my grandmother's birthday. I shared a birthday with my great grandfather, so that would be cool if this baby shared a birthday too!
ETA: After reading everyone's responses, I guess my vote would be more "on time". Like I said I do NOT want an October baby, so I don't want my baby to be more than a week before my due date. Due to my work situation (freelance) I get zero maternity leave. Budget-wise we are good for me being off 8 weeks. Up to 10 is fine. But if this baby comes much earlier, money will be tight which makes me anxious. No matter when I have this baby, due to the holidays, I just don't see myself returning to work before the first full week of January. And my work likely won't book me to come in past my due date, so I REALLY don't want to be sitting at home not making any money, without a baby to care for! So, that's why I don't want baby coming late.
"Late"... I was one day past my edd with my first and 6 days past my edd with my second. Edds are more of a guess date in my opinion anyways. So I'm OK being "late" because babies come right when they are supposed to
I voted early...but I really have no reason to think that I will actually go early other than it will make taking a longer maternity leave easier based on vacation/Christmas time (school schedule). I will most likely go late being a FTM and having no BH yet. I really don't care when the baby comes though as long as she is healthy!
I have no idea. I'm due at the beginning of December. My "when to expect" result gave me the highest percentage between 11/28 and 12/1.
I have a history of walking around at 5-6 cm from 37-39 weeks or so with no labor in sight. And I don't actually start labor until transition. While that isn't usually a concern, and is actually a good thing, it only concerns me because I'm planning another homebirth, and I want to actually be home when she is born.
I'd hate to be at Target or out running errands when I suddenly, out of the blue, feel contractions and massive pushing pressure and plop out a baby in the kids toy isle, only for everyone to freak out and think it's some sort of emergency. Because that's pretty much what happened before. My last baby was born spontaneously and abruptly without being in labor prior to his birth. One minute I was fine, impatient and frustrated, but not in labor, and the next he was born. Luckily I was home, because we planned it that way.

Up until yesterday I was hoping/thinking I'd go a bit early - 38-39 weeks - be done with work a week earlier, etc. Then I had a prenatal massage last night that was really refreshing. And - like a sign - my massage therapist last night is also training to be a doula. So she was very positive about me wanting to have a med-free birth. I felt really encouraged and strengthened so now I am ready for baby boy to hang out until he is good and ready - hopefully though still within a couple days of my due date. I also don't want to have to argue with anyone about induction. I really want labor to start on its own because I'm afraid if they give me Pitocin to start labor, it's going to hurt soo much more and I'm going to end up going for drugs.
So please stay in there until you are ready, but not too late, my son!
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
I voted early because my original due date was Nov 2 and then they changed it to the 8th because of my first ultrasound. So I think sometime between those dates he'll make an appearance.
DS was 10 days early, DD1 was 2 days early and EVERYONE (including the OB) was sure DD2 would be at least a week early. I ended up being induced on my EDD. I am set on not getting my hopes up on going early this time. It made things so much harder last time.
I am going to do my very best to let this one come in her own time. I've spent the last two or three years feeling like we were missing one more person in our family, I can wait a few more weeks.
That being said, the fact that I was 2cm's dialated at my 36 wk appt on Tuesday has me a tad freaked out.

I'm assuming I'll go late since the average FTM goes a little late. I've been having a lot of BH and cramping, though, and no amount of water or rest is helping. Baby hasn't quite dropped yet, and I'm looking forward to that happening since my ribs are starting to hurt.
I would really like to go right on time (or maybe even a week early if baby is ready to meet us). I have the hospital bag packed, so I'm ready when I need to be!
My RCS has been scheduled at 38 weeks (twins) but there's a chance they'll come earlier. I'm praying they stay put until 11/14 but everything is ready...just in case.
My doctor ideally would like our daughter to arrive the week before our due date and will only let me go up to, but not over, that date (Nov. 1st) due to gestational diabetes. So I guess we're in her birth month which seems so crazy to me!
We're welcoming a girlto our family--Audrey Kay!

I voted late. I'm just telling my self this so I won't be disappointed if I go over because I really want this baby to come early (maybe 39 weeks but not sooner) or right on my due date. I'm just so ready to be not pregnant and to meet him on the outside. But at the same time I don't want him to come before he's really ready and it's safe.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
I voted late, because I know with my luck that's probably what's going to happen. Although it doesn't keep me from hoping and praying my little lady might come early or on time. DH has to be at training for the Air Force (that cannot be set back) a week after my due date, so I'm figuring the baby will hold off till he's gone just because life likes to suck like that sometimes. I'm still praying she's early so he can be there for the birth though. While also mentally preparing myself for going it alone. So far I've had no signs of baby wanting to vacate the area anytime soon. :-(
My mom said I came at 38 weeks. I hope LO stays in until her due date or a little later. DH predicts 11/29 to 12/1. I have not felt any braxton hicks so far so I'm thinking maybe she will be on time or a little late.
I voted early. I have an on-my-feet-run-around-chasing-children job (elementary art teacher, and I pick up/drop off my back-to-back classes so I'm constantly running around the building) so I've been feeling a lot of BH contractions lately while I'm bending down, walking a lot, etc., and also my mom was 1 week early w/ my oldest brother, 2 weeks with my next-oldest brother, and I was a month early O_o Trying to get everything as set as I can before 36/37 weeks, just in case!
****************************** October Challenge: How I feel about the 3rd trimester:
Throwback: Hubby and I on our first date (Nov 2007), and then again on our wedding day (Nov 2012)
I am voting early, but hoping for early as in 38-39 weeks, not real soon! Not sure how much genetics play a part in how early babies come, but our families have babies early and fast, so I'm crossing my fingers. Baby has consistently measured bigger and my original EDD was 11/22. I have been reaching milestones earlier than a lot of FTM too (felt movement at ~14 weeks, baby was head down pretty early, etc.) Just a guess, though!
I voted early because of the toddler-in-my-tummy as well! FTM here, so I have no idea what I'm talking about really, but he just feels big. I've gotten a lot of comments, one or two a day, on how other moms are pretty sure we won't be waiting until Thanksgiving for this little guy. My bump has started to slant down now instead of popping straight out. EDD is November 27 so there are still 7 weeks to go, I wouldn't expect anything to happen until early-mid November because contractions are still very irregular, but a lot can change in a month! 37/38 weeks sounds like a good bet to me; I'm all for coming early as long as he's ready. We shall see!
I think mine will be before my possibly scheduled C-section. I want him to come naturally but he has a nuchal cord x4 running a little too tight so far for natural but you never know! Hopefully my next high risk appointment will show I can go ahead natural again.
I'm switching my vote from late to early. I've had so much cramping in the last 48 hours that I'm now worried the baby will come any day (illogical, I know .
I've been saying there were only two things that really needed to happen before the baby could come: 1) get the car seat installed, and 2) see the hematologist for an addendum to my birth plan. Car seat is done, hematologist is tomorrow and Friday. Then I'll be good to go, I suppose (with the caveat that of course I want the baby to stay in for 39-40 weeks)...
I voted early. I lost my plug, baby dropped, and BH have become more regular. Also if I make it to 37 weeks that is DH and I's first wedding anniversary so that would be cute
