Trouble TTC

Indiana RE recs?

I posted this on my local board, but only got one response. I remember awhile back ago seeing a lot of Indiana girls on here. Hoping some are still around and can help me out. Any and all experiences are welcome. I'm hoping to stick to the Indy area, but it's not necessary. Thanks!

Re: Indiana RE recs?

  • Dr. Gentry has an office in Indy and I heard its better than the one in Evansville. That's not saying much. I would avoid him. He's a very kind man but the care I recieved in Eville was awful!

  • I live in Indy and go to Midwest Fertility Specialists in Carmel. From what I hear, they are the best in the area. I see Dr. Reuter, but I've heard a lot of good things about Dr. Colver too.

  • @curve31 I've been seeing Dr. Gentry for about a year now at the Carmel office. I do love one of the nurses, but I'm quickly losing trust in the doctor. Last month he accidentally prescribed me the wrong dose of follistim and I had to question it with two other people before they figured it out. I had already been injecting for 3 days at that point. Time to look elsewhere!
  • Yikes! He's the one who was doing injectable IUIs with me before and HSG. So wrong. You are doing the right thing looking for someone new. But at least you liked one of the nurses. His Eville staff is dreadful!

  • @curve31‌ Ugh, we did an IUI before HSG with him as well because I didn't know any better at that time. How silly of me to think I could trust my doctor.
  • Thank God for this place. Collectively, these women are smarter than a lot of doctors. I've learned so much. Maybe its crazy to trust "the internet" over a doctor but sometimes I do.

**********Siggy Warning - hope you don't mind me posting!**********

Dr. Reuter knocked me up :) I went to MFS, too, and they were great.  She's pretty cautious and works hard to avoid multiples so it took me a few tries but ultimately it worked out for me.  I had another friend who went to MFS for IVF and she got pregnant on the first try.  I highly recommend their office.  Their staff is so nice, too.  I love the ultrasound techs.

Congrats! And yes their staff is great! The u/s techs have taught me so much, and even try to help me see what they are looking at (but who am I kidding, it all looks like a fuzzy TV to me). And the lady at the check out desk is my fave. I swear she was a Disney princess in her younger years lol.
