Pretty sure that CJ is a big girl and can decide for herself that she doesn't want AG to get an abuse point because they already solved this shit before any mod ever got in between them.

CJ is not constantly abused by AG. This isn't even close to being the same thing. If people seriously can't chose whether or not something hurt their feelings and whether or not they want that person to get abuse points on their accounts, then they need to just slowly back away from the interwebz.

True story. I got pulled over for speeding when L was 2 months old and constantly screamed in his car seat. The cop walked up to my window, heard L said "that is so annoying now I know why you want to get home, slow down" and walked away. I laugh so hard at that now.

I still need to read through these 7 pages.

"You've got PM" posts aren't because anyone is in trouble, necessarily.   And I aired nothing.

Okay, I see everyone is angry.

The majority of you are accusing @curlingrocks of tattling and you are all blaming her for @andrewsgal "possibly" getting enough warnings to equate a ban.

This one is absolutely, 100% untrue and unfair.

ANYONE can read a post, flag a post for abuse, and PM a Mod - ANY MOD - about a post where someone is violating (or maybe not violating) the TOU. When things are reported, they go onto a Reporting Forum where EVERY SINGLE MODERATOR across the Bump can see it, comment on it, and take action on it. This is what happened to that post of KC's - it was already flagged and in the Reporting Forum.

Curlingrocks tagged me in the reported post, as ALL MODS do to alert the Mod of that board that a post has come through as flagged (some Mods have extremely quiet boards so they can give more attention to the Reporting forum than others), to simply say "hey, I've asked them to cool it, they've even since made up, this one isn't real abuse, it's no big deal". That's it. That isn't tattling, it's not even in the realm of tattling, it's her job as a Mod to handle real abuse and discount flagged posts that aren't. Because she was participating in that thread, is active on the SAHM board, and "knows" both posters, she took it upon herself to DEFEND @Cjcouple and @andrewsgal against the flagged post with her comment to me.

The SAHM board isn't hers to moderate and she didn't try.

I, as the moderator of this board, read the post and took the action as required of me as a Moderator. Name-calling is a TOU violation and as such, a warning was given for name-calling.

The second warning I gave out to @andrewsgal, has since been resended because I was wrong. The TOU are quite vague. Moderating requires a great deal of collaboration with other Mods and inference. It also requires you to really know your board, gain their trust, and know when to step in and when not to. I pride myself on being a great, hands-off, fair Moderator for this board. But I don't always get it correct. I have PMed her and let her know this as well as apologized for my mistake because, as several of you have pointed out, apparently "fuck off" isn't a TOU violation. The Mods Forum has seen pages of discussion on what is/isn't a TOU violation when it comes to stuff like "fuck off". It hasn't been clear until recently. Another Mod gave me the link to what @bumpjackie determined was/was not a TOU violation regarding telling someone to 'fuck off", I read it, realized I was wrong in issuing those warnings, and have since PMed those users who got a warning for saying "fuck off". I'm not perfect but I am transparent and always upfront with everyone here.

I moderate FAIRLY and EQUALLY to all users on THIS board (I can't help you if you are attacked on another board or the TOU are violated against you on another board unless you come to me about it and I can get in contact with that board's mod and try and vouch for you, which I have done a number of times!), I cannot NOT warn users who violate the TOU. It doesn't matter if I was PMed about it, their post was flagged, or I read it myself, the violations still happened. I just don't believe any user is above the TOU here. I don't play favorites and never have. For this particular post, I had already seen it and was going to send the warnings as soon as I got home. Period.

No one is to blame for anyone getting a warning or being banned but themselves!

As for some of you being upset that certain users say racist/bigotted/homophobic things, yes, those things are extremely upsetting and inflammatory; however, only things that violate the TOU can be edited, deleted and can users be warned or banned for.

I've always investigated and discussed upsetting posts with you all, those of you who have brought them to my attention and, while I agree with you that they shouldn't be allowed, the only "power" I have is to edit, delete, warn or ban those things that fit within the box of a TOU violation and I have to document each and every one with a C&P/link and an explanation.

@amy052006 and @diapersnwipes - does that give you any indication of just how much time I acutally DO spend here? I read every post, I don't always participate because it's important to remain impartial and emotionally removed so that I CAN be a fair Mod and yet, I'm "not here enough" and you all want a Co-Mod.

I'd be lying if I said my feelings weren't hurt because you have no NO IDEA how much time this takes from my life and how much I do care to keep doing it, 6 years later....

@mandymack‌ Serious question here, why do you do it if you feel like you can't be a real member of the board because of it? I haven't noticed Mods on other boards having to take as much of a step back as you feel like you need to do.

I appreciate your input and your clarification regarding why you all feel a Co-Mod is good for our board. I not only agree but I respect what this board wants, as a whole and am happy to bring on a Co-Mod.

Whatever is best for y'all is what I have always tried to give and be.

What I don't understand is why this was done behind my back. If it really was just logistical, why didn't you PM me and allow me to be part of the process? Why did you go to @bumpjackie behind my back? I realize your intention @scatteredtrees wasn't to be hurtful and I appreciate you saying as much but surely you can see why I feel blindsided. I guess I've always thought I was an approachable person and this makes ME feel like I'm in trouble with @bumpjackie and have told her as much. I don't think any of you realize what a microscope Mods sit under and the way you've gone about requesting a Co-Mod makes me look and feel bad.
