    1. tmorash, from Canada

    2. TTC#1, in our 3rd cycle.

    3. Charting/temping, and trying out the FR digital ovulation predictor. No idea if it's a recommended one, but it was a bit of an impulse buy, so we'll see how that goes.

    4. CD7 - Waiting to O

    5. I was actually allowing myself to feel hopeful but then managed to get into a terrible argument with the BF last night and now I can't feel hopeful about anything.

QOTW: @wannabmama23 My So-called Life was a big one for me too; also Three's Company, @northernkhaleesi

Shout-out to @maybebaby3 - that's a horrible feeling; big hugs to you and fingers crossed this is your cycle!

Also a wee vent: Somehow managed to get into an argument with the BF last night that resulted in me going to bed alone, waking up in the middle of the night to find him still not in bed, and I also basically got the silent treatment this morning. We still haven't spoken, and it's completely awful. So. I just needed to get that off my chest. I'm not really sure what to do about it.

  • Ahhhh, meredithcarole, I forgot the Muppets! I STILL watch them sometimes (*hangs head shamefully)

tmorash - sorry about the rough night. Hopefully you'll clear the air today, and everything will be back to where it should be. ((hugs))

lcwed - sorry about the job stress; I hear you on that. I'm expecting to get pulled into a meeting sometime today about unrealistic parental expectations and how it's our fault. Ugh. Most days I feel like I'm winning the battle of not bringing it home... most days... Good luck to you in that area. It's tough.
  • Thanks @northernkhaleesi - I think it's pretty bad. I want to apologize but I'm not even sure it was my fault. But it probably was I guess. Ugh. Hopefully we'll be able to talk it out tonight.

I am charting but not having any sex.  We still haven't and I'm pretty sure my H was avoiding me on purpose last night so that he didn't have to directly turn me down.  After dinner he went to go play his drums and then when we went to bed he left to go "check on things".  So I am pretty sure this cycle is a bust and I'm pretty upset about it

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
I think I am going to O this weekend.

  • @tlc35‌ sorry about the hubs...I think the downside of knowing when fertile window is, is that it's so disappointing to miss it!

@tmorash‌ I'm so sorry to hear about your rough night. My DH is the king of the silent treatment and it drives me bonkers. It's the worst. I hope you guys can talk it out and move on soon. ((Hugs))

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
Cycle 1 after a 9 month break from TTC for about 2 months.  #3 for me, #1 for him
    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
We were just doing lots of BD... and haven't missed much. :) Now thanks to all of you I may start temping next cycle.  Checking CM and CP as well... so much for we'll do this NTNP thing soI won't stress/ obsess. Oh well.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
CD 13...  lots of phantom symptoms while waiting to O. LOL.  Of course without temping I don't know when it actually happened(happens) so who knows what means something.  Definitely have pain where BOTH ovaries are this month (which happened on one side when I was on IUD and they confirmed that's what it was by ultrasound) butcould also be gas or something else... sick feeling, super sensitive smell, sore BBs... but yes, just went off Nuvaring so I am sure it is the hormones adjusting.
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Mixed... so from above I'm excited because past experience makes me think O is eminent and happening.  Frustrated because I was trying to relax and just let whatever happened happen but now I wish I had temped and am now obsessing.  Silly... because I started symptom spotting O so I know I'm going to drive myself nuts during the TWW if I keep that craziness up.

QOTW: What was you favorite TV show growing up?
Fraggle Rock... but also liked a lot of what was listed.  Facts of Life, Family Ties, 90210, Cosby Show...

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
@tmorash that sucks... but I think makeup sex is the best. :)  NOt that I'd ever pick a fight just for that... but at least there's a bright spot. :)  Here's hoping it's also a bright spot that leads to a BFP!

@tlc35.. hope your weekend turns out better than planned ;)

Wishing everyone else GL this week!

  • verdongirl - I had no idea you could get over the counter SA. I don't know what my DH will think or do if he has to do a SA at a doctor's office so this might be a good start.

@tmorash - Fights like that are the worst. I hope you guys are able to make up soon. Maybe a "let's just agree to disagree" will help?? Best of luck.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
CD16 - Positive OPK yesterday. Lots of ovulation cramping yesterday.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I wanna say I feel hopeful, but I know that DH have had good timing before and nothing has happened so trying to stay neutral at this point.

@verdongirl Initial testing this week and next with DH. He took an over the counter SA yesterday night that was negative (passed it with a positive just a few months ago), so we are going to be doing a proper SA this week to see if he has MFI. It really bummed him out....Actually thinking of shelving the whole business if DH comes back with MFI. :(  I'm worried about the pressure on him and the roller coaster of disappointment if he has it. We do not want to do IVF because of cost/risk. So, I'm hoping there is an in-between solution. I'll be 38 in March and feel like we are circling our last lap—if you get my drift.
As far as I know, those only measure count, not motility or morphology. So if he has a low--density of sperm per ml or whatever, but produces a decent volume of semen and has good motility/morphology, he could produce a great post-wash sample for IUI. Also, I don't know much about this, but I believe men can take clomid and maybe other meds for good sperm. Finally, I know the initial reason for your concern was his weight, so maybe losing some could make a difference?

Anyway, it seems like there might be lots of solutions short of IVF. Hang in there!

  • @Davie813:) Thanks! That's good to know actually... I'm holding out a little hope. :) As far as I know (as of last year) I was in OK shape with LH/FSH balance, etc. But, we'll see these new tests... I'm hoping we don't get any more curve balls. Our insurance covers 50% of Infertility which isn't terrible, but I'm sure it's going to be a FUN year. Looks like I'm about to start the same journey as many of you.

  • <waves> Hi! I am new here :) (I posted an intro on the main page...)

    1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
Ladycop- I live in FL now!

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
Been NTNP for almost 3 years but only actively trying since Aug. TTC #2 or 4, which either way you look at it (I have 3 kiddos, one bio, two are adopted internationally from foster care when we were stationed overseas.)

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? OPK's and charting/temping

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
CD17 - haven't had a +OPK yet, but my temps and brown spotting at CD 14 make me think I am 3-4 dpo. Symptoms: heavy, HEAVY feeling uterus area...same as when I was pg (before I m/c) last cycle. (Yes, we didn't wait to TTC again...)

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I don't know at all... Part of me thinks that it was "smart" (emotionally) for us to move back into TTC but not so smart to not give myself a cycle or two to figure out what was going on. The no +OPK thing has me confused but there WAS a day with a very light line on CD 9 (I have O'd VERY earlier, around CD 9 or 10 the last 3 cycles), but I don't think you are supposed to count "light" lines. IF that was a positive, my temps don't really match up, but that would possibly make my brown spotting on CD14 implantation bleeding. Maybe some of you guys could look at my whacky chart and tell me what you see...

QOTW: What was you favorite TV show growing up?
Macgyver! We are re-watching all the episodes on Netflix with the fam and I am remembering what a huge crush I had on Richard Dean Anderson! (Now I realize he is my dad's age!)
