@bayareagirl2011 – Sounds like you have been busy.  When will you get the furniture set up in the nursery?

How far along are you?  I am 34 weeks today!  Where has the time gone? Wow 
Upcoming appointments? I have my appointment tomorrow and I have a ton of questions for her... I don't think she will be too pleased with me after my long list.
Any updates to share? I don't really have any updates, just chugging along.
How are you feeling? Well this week it is a loaded question.  My feet are swelling and it has not gone down. I checked my BP at the grocery store yesterday and it was 125/72 which was showing as high.  I had a spell while in chruch on Sunday and I get really hot and clammy and was pretty out of it. Monday night I had some contractions overnight, at least what I think are contractions.  I am not really sure what is going on, and I am sure my doc is just going to tell me that this is 3rd trimester pregnancy, but it still worries me because I have not had an ultrasound since I was 18 weeks and I have never had a cervix check..  I wish my doc was a bit more proactive.

QOTW: I am dying for a diet coke... I have not had a caffinated beverage since March and I cannot wait! Or maybe a Magic Hat #9 Pale Ale.

Hi I’d like to be added! I’m currently 28wks 1 day. My EDD is 12/30 and we’re team green. 

I have a regular OB checkup today. I’ll be asking about a dtap shot and hopefully I’ll be able to get a prescription from my OB for a breast pump. My insurance covers a breast pump, but I need to get a prescription. Tonight DH and I are attending an open house at a pedi practice that we’re interested in. I’ve actually been to this practice before because my niece is a patient. My OB also recommended this practice (she takes her kids there) and its 5 minutes away from my house. 

I’m feeling good besides the usual third trimester aches and pains. My back feels awful, everything cramps up, I have to pee all the time and I can’t sleep. Feeling my LO wiggle and kick everyday makes up for the bad stuff

QOTW: I’ve been counting down the days till I can have a medium rare steak and a beer. This time of year is pretty hard because pumpkin beer is my favorite. Especially southern tier brewery’s Pumking!

How are you feeling?  I've been sick the past week so that's not been fun, especially when you can't take the good stuff!  But I think I'm feeling a little better today.  Pregnancy wise- I feel good, but tired and I'm definitely getting to the point that I'm slowing down. 

QOTW:  WINE!!!  I miss having a glass of wine and I would also love a pumpkin beer.  For food, I really am craving an Italian combo grinder... yuuuuum!  And I normally don't eat a ton of cold cuts but of course I'm craving it when I can't have it.  It was also the first thing I ate when we left the hospital after having DS.

Any updates to share?  No big updates.  Having our house cleaned today, which I am beyond excited about.  I'm hoping we can make this a regular thing because I'm lazy and fed up with chores at this point.  It would be awesome to not worry about cleaning the house with a new baby.

How are you feeling?  I've been feeling better now that I am taking Zantac, it helps so much!  Still eating pretty bland stuff, but at least I can eat!

QOTW:  I really miss fancy drinks like margaritas and bloody mary's.  I'm normally a beer drinker, and oddly I don't find myself missing that as much.  I can't wait to eat cold cuts again!  It's not like I ate a ton before, but now it's all I want!

How far along are you?  I am 30 weeks 4 days today!
Upcoming appointments? My next appointment with my midwife is 10.17.14 - then it's every two weeks! 
Any updates to share? I kicked ass at my baby consignment sale.  I spent $59 and I got: a bassinet, breast feeding cover, 4 burp cloths, 13 baby hats, 6 receiving blankets, 5 bassinet sheets and 6 bibs.  The bassinet would have cost me $100 brand new.  Yippee for saving $$$!
How are you feeling? I feel pretty awesome.  I'm adjusting to the GD very well and I'm losing weight (midwife said this is ok & will monitor at my appointments).  Prepping all of my food kind of sucks, but I do a bit of batch cooking which makes things a bit easier.  I'm not getting tired of any foods yet but this is still early on so we'll see what happens.  I'm making sure I walk at least 2.5 miles a day and I feel like it's been a great help with keeping my weight in check.  Plus it feels damn good to get outside and get some fresh air.

QOTW: I miss sushi.  Oh how I miss sushi.  Every now and then I'll have seaweed salad or a cooked roll, but I really miss being able to eat it whenever I'd like.  I've also been craving a good seared tuna steak.  I've asked my hubby to take me to Capital Grille after the baby is born to have seared tuna.

-30 weeks!! Mini panic attack last night lol....one of the books we were reading said full term is 37 weeks, so i was like "i only have 7 weeks! i havent packed yet!!" my husband was laughing at me.

-Friday appointment...we are bringing one of those heartbeat recorders and will give the stuffed animal to my mom for now, then for her to give the baby.

-Pain went away thank goodness!! Shower was very small, had a lot of late cancellations, but it ended up being so much fun. The people there were my best friends that knew what we went through so it was very touching and emotional.

-Feeling great...really hope to avoid being swollen. I have stopped walking because of my pain last week but I'm hoping to start swimming this week or next.

 

QOTW:  What food/drink have you been missing since becoming pregnant? Pics are encouraged! I haven't missed alcohol all pregnancy but now that it's fall I want a really refreshing IPA. I still miss sandwiches. I just want pounds and pounds of cold cuts.

Ashris13 it is very normal* to not have an ultrasound after 18 weeks...most "normals" only have 2 the entire pregnancy. Cervix checks also don't start till 37 weeks or later. I hope your doctor listens to you though, it sounds like you may need to take it easy. I feel like doctors are dismissive of a lot of pregnancy complaints. Hope you feel better! *I am not a doctor

Hey everyone!  @Ashris13 thanks for the check-in!  My mom will be at our house, which is max 5 minutes from the hospital, so if H is looking "questionable" I'll call her right over.  Also, I sent you a test e-mail a week or 2 ago, did it ever come through?  If not let me know and I'll try again!

How far along are you?  36 weeks, the count-down is on
Upcoming appointments?  Tomorrow I have my GBS test and will start weekly appointments.  I have an US at 37-38 weeks to check size/position, haven't seen the baby since our A/S so I'm looking forward to that.
Any updates to share?  Not really, just making lots of progress on my to-do list and getting things ready!  Hoping to have all of the must-do stuff done by 38 weeks so I can relax at the end.
How are you feeling?  Big and tired and uncomfortable.

 

QOTW:  What food/drink have you been missing since becoming pregnant?  I already told H that I want diet sprite as soon as the baby is out.  I've avoided artificial sweeteners throughout pregnancy but can't bring myself to drink full-sugar soda.  I want the sprite!

Thanks for the check in @Ashris13 -- and girl, I don't know how you have lived without caffeine this long! I have one caffeinated beverage a day and it saves my life!

My mom's side of the family is all in Waco so we have our fair share of Bears around. I live in Oklahoma now and married a Sooner so that is always fun too. I actually bought some cute OU and TTU onesies for a house divided picture during our maternity shoot. Maternity pictures are October 19! I keep picking our what I want to wear and then growing so much that the closer it gets to pictures it doesn't look good anymore.   

 

How far along are you?  32 weeks, 4 days. 
Upcoming appointments?  OB appointment and preadmission stuff with the hospital on Tuesday! 
Any updates to share?  Not really.  We met with a pediatrician on Monday and loved her and the practice as a whole.  I am a PCOSer and have come concerns about being able to make enough milk supply to nurse and the ped sat down with me and developed a whole plan for me on what we could do starting at the hospital to help my supply!  She was great!  She also recommended a book I could start reading on breastfeeding. 
How are you feeling?  Big.  My whole body is starting to ache from the extra weight and how unevenly it is distributed.  Ugh. 

 

QOTW:  What food/drink have you been missing since becoming pregnant?  Cold cuts!  I want a big ham and cheese sandwhich as soon as this baby is out!

Any updates to share? No updates - breastfeeding class was last night and that was interesting.  I was kind of stunned that the nurse made it sound so easy when I know people who       struggle(d).  I just hope that DH didn't think that it will be piece of cake and it might take some time to really get a handle on it.  My shower is this weekend!!  I'm so excited and never thought this moment would come!!
How are you feeling?  I'm feeling OK, borderline to the "uncomfortable" stage.  Sleeping OK actually, so that is good. 

QOTW: What food/drink have you been missing since becoming pregnant? Pics are encouraged!  WINE!!  I love red wine.  Also, missing craft beer and sushi.  Give it all to me!

Hi ladies, 32.5 here and I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable. Sleeping is a challenge and my long days at work are taking their toll. But enough with the complaints. 

Tonight I have the hospital tour and tomorrow is my appointment with the midwife. I am getting pretty excited and things are becoming more real every day!! 

QOTW: GIN!! I miss my fun gin based cocktails. I also make a mean apple pie vodka infusion but will have to wait till december.

Thanks again for another great check in @Ashris13. Please make sure doc knows how you've been feeling. Swollen feet and high BP are things to watch for. My doc only did cervix check when I was in L&D with contractions (due to dehydration). It's common they won't until you are 37 or more weeks. As far as ultrasound my sister didn't have an ultrasound since her 20 week appointment. I think unless there are issues then they won't do an u/s in 3rd tri. Let him know your concern maybe he'll send you for one.

Thank you for the congrats! My newest niece is just precious! I got to spend day with her on Monday. It was great, my brother's daughter was visiting too. A day with both neice's was heaven!

So doc has decided that he does not want to induce my Lil guy. He wants him to come on his own. However if he doesn't come this week than doc will not let me try a vaginal delivery. Due to his size (7lb11oz as of last Tuesday) and his head being 96th percentile, he thinks it would be less stress on baby to do csection than trying to fit through.

How are you feeling?
I feel good. Every other day I am exhausted and the next I have energy. Doc also said no more work for me, so Friday was my last day! I am enjoying it!

@Ashris13 thanks for the check in as always! No induction date, yet. Everyone looks good so they are going to proceed 'au natural' for the time being. I've gotten mixed messages from the different docs I see in the practice but it sounds like once I get to that 38 week threshold that is when they will start thinking/talking about inductions.

How far along are you? 35 weeks

Upcoming appointments? I see the docs weekly, so next Wed.

Any updates to share? NST test was good, they were surprised @ the NST this week because they didn't pick up any contractions. Took the GBS test, got my dTap, and they checked my cervix (0 cm). The u/s the doc did to check my amniotic fluid levels, he said it looked like baby B has moved into a quasi-head down position. Doc was like you aren't having these guys for at least another week, unless mother nature proves me wrong. I'm hoping he is right, because I feel like we still have so much to do. . .although really it is all little stuff.

How are you feeling? Ok. Sleep seems to be more and more elusive - can't get comfy, going pee every 2 hrs or less (normal pregnancy stuff). Why am I wide awake for an hour from 4 - 5 AM every.single.night?

QOTW: I miss wine!! And in the last few weeks, I've been craving sushi (I'm not a huge fan, but now that I can't have it, I want it).

 Any updates to share? Growth scan came out good. He is at the 60th percentile. All is well so far.

 How are you feeling? Mostly good. Hands are swelling and uncomfortable, but doing okay other than that pretty much Not bad for an old lady like me, LOL.

Hi ladies!

Thanks for the check-in! @ashris13, When I learned I could be more at-risk for pre-e, I did a little bit of googling and asked my doc, and I was told under 140/90 is OK. Definitely bring it up to your doc, especially if you have swelling, and your BP has been a lot lower in the past. 

Speaking of swelling, I officially cannot wear my engagement ring. It's a half size smaller than my wedding band, so I'm still wearing that, but I swear my knuckles expanded overnight. It's not even close to going on. I suppose the warm weather probably doesn't help. 

I'm 31+4 today, and feeling pretty good. Definitely getting used to the GD diet, so I'm not feeling as sorry for myself anymore. I've found a few treats I can have here and there, and the silver lining hopefully is that I will have less to lose after the baby, since my weight has been stable for the past 3 weeks, even with the baby gaining. 

We're on an bi-weekly OB schedule now, and starting NSTs weekly too. 

Our baby furniture (crib, dresser and glider, we have the bookcase already) will be coming next Friday. We're going to be busy this weekend clearing out the room, and moving my husband's office furniture into the guest bedroom. I can't wait! Will definitely post some pics once it's all done!

32 weeks today! And today was my babies' birthday. I had been on hospital bed rest since Friday because Baby A's bag was leaking. I went into active labor yesterday but the contractions weren't bad. The Dr decided to check me and felt feet. So I was rushed for a C-section. 

Baby A- little boy weighed 3lbs 14oz

Baby B-little girl weighed 4lbs 3oz

They are doing fabulous in the NICU and have been breathing room air from birth. I am so in love with these little babies and can't wait to take them home. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancies!

Am 36.5 weeks along. Got my flu shot today. Saw OB last Friday and was swabbed for GBS. OB reviewed results of the 35 weeks growth u/s to follow up on the marginal cord insertion. Baby measured in the 35th percentile with an estimated weight of 5.5 lbs. MD said baby might put on about 1/2 lb per week from here on.

We had our baby care/parenting course over the weekend as well as a surprise baby shower.

My feet are constantly swollen at the end of the day and it's been warm still lately. Starting this week, my back up wedding band will no longer fit easily.

I have 7 days left at work and so much to do or pass along. Then I will be packing my go bag and washing baby things. The breast pump arrived last week and is the second item that is making me realize that we really will be getting a baby in our lives. The car seat base in the car is the 1st.

Upcoming appointments?  Growth and GD scan on Tuesday the 14th- hope our little lady hasn't grown too big!
Any updates to share? We had out baby shower, which was super awesome and I'm overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and gifts.  Also, we finished our childbirth and baby care classes- it's helped make it a lot more real for DH so he's in super planning/ reading/ learning mode.
How are you feeling?  This week I'm feeling pretty good.  I have the GD diet down now, so I'm just coasting, hope that the growth scan next week comes out okay.  I go for exercise training sessions once a week and I'm thinking I'm going to need to stop doing this in the next few weeks because I'm just getting so big.

QOTW:  I miss a good chocolate milkshake--- damn this GD!

Upcoming appointments?  I have an appt with my OB on Monday.

Any updates to share? The babies room is almost finished and I getting clothes washed and things all put away in preparation for their arrival.  
How are you feeling?  I am feeling pretty good, but had another high blood pressure scare on Monday and was subsequently pulled out of work.  My blood pressure is running on the higher side and my legs are very swollen.  I had a 24 hour urine sample which came back normal so that is good.  But my doctor was very concerned about pre-eclampsia and I went in to have the shots for lung development (they really hurt!!).  Things seem to be settling down though and I am hoping to keep these guys in here for a few more weeks.

QOTW:  I have been missing diet coke and cold cuts (which I don't even really like!)

Upcoming appointments? My reassessment to see if I can break out of this "jail" is on the 19th.  It is one of those double edged swords.  If I go home I will have to pay another copay only to come back in 3 weeks.  If I stay......Well hospital bed rest sucks!

Any updates to share? I had an ultrasound on Monday and baby is measuring in the 96th%.  He was 5lb 3oz.  This is going to be one big boy!  Drs are surprised I have not gone into labor with this twin yet.  They keep saying they are pleasantly surprised.  I wish they would just do the reassessment already but they do not want to do it early and risk infection.  At last check I was 5cm dilated 60% effaced.  The ultrasound showed I was 3cm dilated.  So I want to know for sure what I am.

How are you feeling? Can't complain.  Bored!  Tired.  There is always someone coming in the room.  Makes for sleepless nights.

QOTW: alcohol.  I wasn't a big drinker but since I've started this process with the IVF all I've wanted is a drink!  Pina Colada, Margarita, beer it doesn't really matter

How far along are you? 37 weeks 2 days Upcoming appointments? Had an appointment on Monday and another 1 today. Monday's appointment showed amniotic fluid at 6.4. The doctor got concerned and wanted to see me today. I went back in today and it is 7.2. Today the doctor mentioned that they will induce me next week or at 39 weeks. I go back again on Monday. How are you feeling? I am feeling good. I have been sleeping quite well. Not completely ready (mentally)for baby to arrive.

Upcoming appointments? Monday I will have my 35 week appointment with my doctor to discuss birthing options since baby A is refusing to turn head down. Don't know when I would head to the hospital if labor would begin or my water would break before a scheduled C-section date. (Really hoping I don't have to have a C-section though.)
Any updates to share? Growth scan ended up being done last Friday because I was having contractions. Turns out it was an infection and not real labor but the hospital screwed up big time in the way they handled my care. (Big long story that I wrote out on SIF check-in but this board is more crowded so I don't want to leave a novel!) Anyway, I'm on meds for the infection and the growth scan turned out good so no big worries there! At just shy of 34 weeks they measured 5lbs and 5lbs11oz
How are you feeling? Very sore and useless. It is so easy to over do it. My toddler is even telling me that it is time for her sisters to come out so she can meet them and I just have to keep telling her they will be here soon.

QOTW:  What food/drink have you been missing since becoming pregnant? Pics are encouraged! I want a glass of wine and a few margaritas something awful! I just keep telling people to have one for me so at least somebody gets to enjoy a good drink! I don't drink very often and never more than two or three but its the only thing I have really had to give up completely being pregnant.

@IntuitiveBlue‌ I am so jealous! They aren't going to schedule my section unless I'm 36 weeks and they still haven't turned. It would be nice to know and end date even if I really want to avoid the section. Also I am only a fingertip dilated, they didn't even bother to mention how effaced I am!

36w3d and doing well over here! Had my shower on Saturday - it was amazing. About 25 people came, great turnout and exactly what I was hoping for. I have an US on Wednesday to check and make sure Piper has turned from breech but I'm pretty sure all is good there.

Niece is also doing great, lungs are healthy and she's gaining weight steadily. 6 weeks old already!

QOTW: All I want is a drink for the last 2 weeks. It's been incredibly stressful though so I'm not surprised.
