Welcome to the TTA Check in!! This is for anyone who is TTA (trying to avoid), no matter for how long. The check in will be weekly. If you are new, we are sorry you're here and we hope that your stay is short. We have a variety of wait times so please feel free to join. Post an intro and tell us why you are TTA and for how long. It can be waiting on the 1st AF, waiting months, waiting on labs, recovering from surgery, personal reasons, etc. You are more than welcome to join for any reason why you are TTA. Please let me know if you would like to be added or if your information below is incorrect. As the months come to an end, members will be removed. If your TTA has been extended, please let me know. Any updates from the week? 
Hmm...not really from this past week. I did finally get Fenix's pictures in but I think I said that in last week's update. My insomnia seems to have lessened its hold, so hooray! I keep having really weird dreams though. Like last night it was like I was watching a scary movie involving teenagers going on vacation to a big cabin in the woods and the girlfried (played by that chick from the first Casper) kept freaking people out so they kept kicking her out and somehow ended up killing her but she was only trying to warn them of the bad guys. Then the group has to defeat the bad guys and live with knowing they killed the girl for the rest of their life. Also involved a 300 gallon aquarium and taking animals to the vet. idk, it was weird. 
What was the high/low of the week? 
The high of this past week was definitely getting Fenix's pictures in the mail finally. It didn't hit me as hard as I thought it would that we wouldn't be getting any more. Maybe it just hasn't hit yet, idk, but I cherish them. Oh, and they came in the mail the exact same day as my rainbow wrap. (forgive me if I said that in last weeks check in. It's early ya'll!)

The low - for the past two days I've been feeling a little "tender" emotionally and haven't been able to pinpoint why. Something in my subconscious it seems. Hoping this tender feeling goes away soon because I tend to retreat from DH and he feels guilty even though he didn't do anything wrong. 

Any TTA related frustrations? 
Being emotionally tender has led to little to no libido, and DH is a little frustrated. We did DTD last night so that helped Recently got the BCP again and waiting on AF to start taking it. CD 33 and she's nowhere in sight, which is weird for me. My cycle must be wonky still post delivery. 
Anything that you're looking forward to this week? 
After Friday I'll have a full week down in internship. And I'm slowly but steadily gaining my own set of students that I'll check in on. I need 120 hours of direct counseling these students to finish one internship, and another 120 to finish my second.

Um...not sure what to put here. I'm pretty simple really. Introvert, sort of a loner in person. I'm a metalhead, and I love my birds as if they were my children.

Any updates from the week?  I got my 50 OPK shipment on Sat.  Looking forward to being off the bench in a couple weeks.

What was the high/low of the week? Low: Finding out my boss was laid off yesterday and that a guy 2 years out of college and 6 months at my company is my new "acting" boss reporting to my new boss who is in another dept and traveling a lot.   High: not much

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? My trip to see my Dad and meet you!

QOTW: anything you'd like to share about yourself so we can get to know you better  Hmmm...I'm really close to my family.  I would love to leave NY but I just couldn't be far from my family.  Dh's family though, is a much different story.  There's only one sister of his that I get along with and she's several states away.  The rest of them, I'd be fine if I never saw them!

@forevermyfenix - I love your new screen name.  Sorry that I missed you before, you must've been posting at the same time.  I tend to retreat as well.  I love @Amybunny30's suggestions though.  I think our DHs just don't know what to do for us.

@forevermyfenix‌ your cycles can be wonky after a loss/delivery. I had to wait a long time to start bcp. Big hugs to you as you deal with your "tender" days. They can sneak up on you at any time. I'm here if you need me.

Nothing really. We have been so busy at home!

What was the high/low of the week?
High- meeting a children's author through work
Low- housework lol!

Any TTA related frustrations?
These migraines! I'm also tired of spotting! My annual check up isn't coming soon enough.

I'm usually quiet at first but once I'm comfortable I talk all the time! I love cooking and baking. I've lived in three countries and would move in a heartbeat. We are a very non-traditional family but it works for us.

@forevermyfenix - Glad your insomnia has improved, but sorry to hear about the weird dreams. I had some disturbing dreams myself this week and it was awful!

@rmpar29 - Good luck with your OPKs! I just started using mine this cycle and it was pretty cool. Sorry for the work trouble, we have a lot of that kind of BS that goes on at my work so I feel your pain. Have a fun trip!

@Amybunny30 - Congrats on the new kitchen! Can't wait to see pics!

@linkloveszelda26 - I know, the waiting can be so frustrating! We can all relate to that, I think. Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Any updates from the week? Nothing really, just waiting for AF to arrive. I did get CHs on FF on CD14 and a +OPK on CD 13 and 14, so that was exciting. Now I'm just hoping I have a decent length LP (since my first post-loss cycle had a short LP which makes me nervous). Hopefully AF arrives mid-week next week and we can burn the bench!

What was the high/low of the week? High - spending time with my mom this weekend and helping her buy a new car! It was fun. Low - Work is really killing me. I know I need to change careers because I really hate the one I am currently stuck in, but financially I feel like we are a long ways for me being able to go back to school full time. It sucks!

Any TTA related frustrations? Not really. Just anxious for bench burning.

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? The weekend. Always the weekend.

QOTW: anything you'd like to share about yourself so we can get to know you better? I have two greyhounds that are just the absolute best! Nothing like coming home to their wagging tails! I also love to cook and bake and doing crafty stuff, although my current schedule does not leave much time for any of those things. :-( And as I mentioned above, I really want to make a career change and go to nursing school, but I don't know if I will be able to make that happen any time soon.

Hi ladies - I jumped into the Ladies in Waiting yesterday so I figured I'd come here too. I just had my follow up this morning from my D&C two weeks ago. Tests came back showing everything is normal. OB did put a prescription in for BC - he recommends not TTC for 3 months - I'm hoping with the holidays approaching it will go by fast. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

What was the high/low of the week? Knowing my test results came back normal from my D&C

Any TTA related frustrations? just the having to wait thing sucks.

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? The weekend!  In an ACS breast cancer walk on Saturday with my mom

QOTW: anything you'd like to share about yourself so we can get to know you better?  I'm pretty shy at first and tend to stumble over my words before I really get to know people and get comfortable around them.  My mom is very active with different organizations and I'd like to follow in her footsteps.  I started doing direct sells for a product I just LOVE, hoping that will get me out of my comfort zone and get better with public speaking.
