I have spoken to our pediatrician and plan to visit the LC this week, but looking for some real life experience. My DD is 11 weeks old and EBF. The past 4-5 days she has had consistently green stool. Sometimes it is very watery, sometimes very mucousy, always very green. At least 3 times a day, or as many as 6. She's had green stools in the past, but they always go back to yellow. Not this time.
She has no other symptoms. No fever, sleeping well, not vomiting or spitting up. She honestly doesn't seem bothered at all. I am just freaked out by the green poo! Her ped said it could be just a change in GI tract and call if not back to normal in a week.
I do seem to have an over supply in my right breast, and was thinking the green stool may be caused by overactive letdown? Today, I've been block feeding and sitting her up when she nurses on that side, haven't seen a change yet. I don't think this could be dairy, as that showed up very early in my first daughter and she was totally miserable. As it is, I only really have a splash of coffee creamer in the morning, I'm not a cheese or ice cream eater really.
Any insight, mommas???
