Sorry you have to go throught this! I actually go in the am to get this testing done as well,nervous bc I do have cystic fibrosis. My fiancé is getting tested as well so I'm hoping he tests neg. I'm hoping for a good turn out for me tomorrow.This is my 2nd pregnancy n it's not been very fun so far:(. Keep us posted & I'm praying for you!!!!
I can only say that my prayers are for your baby to be healthy, but that you might also find comfort in reminding yourself that as a mother you love your child unconditionally. No perfection needed. Whatever might be wrong, it's still your little baby and worthy of your love and courage.
Went to get our 2nd opinion today. There is actually fluid all around the baby which is not good. There was a little over 9.0mm of the fluid around the neck. She said that if our Materni21 comes back with any abnormalities that the baby prob won't survive with there being so much fluid and it would be best to terminate. So we go back in 2 wks again and see if any of the fluid is dissipating and make a decision from blood and next scan. The original reason we got sent to the high rush doctor was for my marker for Cysic Fibrosis and my husbands blood came back and he does not have a marker for it. So we are good there.
I am so sorry you did not receive better news. I will be thinking about you and hoping your bloodwork is more positive.

Thank you so much. I'm trying to still stay positive. Hopefully the Materni21 comes back negative for everything and the fluid dissipates some. I am glad however that this doctor explained everything and sat with us for 45 minutes. It was very comforting. I will post as soon as we get the bloodwork in. Should be this week.
Materni21 was positive for trisomy 21. I've been really stressed this afternoon since finding this out and now I'm spotting. I'm freaking out! I have an appt with my ob tomorrow. I don't know if I should go to the ER.

You know I have been following this since you first posted because we had similar NT scan issues. I have been thinking about you. I am sorry for all this uncertainty and I hope it goes well at the doctor today.
I'm so sorry that you're having to go through such a stressful time. Will be praying that the baby stays in there and the spotting is just normal spotting.
I'm very sad to tell you our baby is not going to make it. I started bleeding last night and went to my OB today. It's organs are shutting down. She is scheduling me to go into forced labor on Friday at the hospital. I'm so scared and heartbroken. She said its a very severe case of downs with hydrops.

I am so, so incredibly sorry. This is so heartbreaking. Praying that all goes as well as it possibly can on Friday. So many hugs to you and your family.

Thank you all so much for all the T&P's. Trying my hardest to stay strong. I will keep you all posted on how everything goes. We wil be trying again in 2-3 months and the doctors says we have a 98% chance of it being normal with no issues like this. Sending my love to you all for your support!
