A few questions

This is my first post!  I've been a lurker for about a year and a half without getting the courage to ask my own questions.  However, I cannot find anything that answers these while searching online.

This is my first cycle I have been allowed to start TTC after being benched since February due to a large uterine septum diagnosis and septum resection surgery in June.  I am also PCOS, rarely ovulate, and didn't respond to 3 months of Clomid.

I am on my first medicated cycle of Letrozole with Ovidrel trigger.  I triggered yesterday with one 18mm follie and BD last night.

My RE says to have intercourse last night and today and I will most likely ovulate tomorrow.  Shouldn't I BD tomorrow if that is when I am ovulating?

The nurse said my good follie was on my right side.  However, I have been having twinges or cramps that keep happening on my left side.  Is there a reason for that?

My LH on the 10/3 ultrasound was 14 but on Monday 10/6 it was 8.7.  The nurse says they can fluctuate, but isn't it supposed to peak for ovulation?  My estradiol doubled in three days as well as the follicles so she said that was a good sign.

All of this stuff is so confusing and I just wish it could be easy.  The last year and a half filled with ultrasounds, blood work, shots, medications, hormone therapies, MRIs, etc has been exhausting.  I was so excited to get the news we could try again that I ended up getting a speeding ticket trying to get home to start the Baby Making!! HAHA

To answer your first question, BDing on the day of ovulation is too late.  1 to 2 days before makes more sense.  The sperm have to already be chilling there waiting for the egg.

This. Also, if you have PCOS, cysts on either side may cause twinges or pain around O time.

Thank you for your replies!!  It's nice to have a community of ladies who have been there.  

Would it be wise to have intercourse Wednesday and Thursday this week just in case I ovulate late or is the shot pretty accurate?   I really don't want to miss this window.  I always hear people on these boards having more than one mature follicle and I was kind of bummed to see I only had one.  I hope that doesn't reduce my chances either.

I have family I see once a year coming into town the day I would HOPEFULLY get a positive pregnancy test.  I would love to share the news with them in person as I won't see them for another year.

I was also just at a birthday party and I was the only lady there who wasn't pregnant.

His morphology was only 1% but everything else was good. The RE didn't seem concerned. Fingers crossed it works this time!!

Maybe that is why the RE wanted to jump to IUI right away...hmmm.  I wanted to try timed intercourse first to see if we could conceive naturally now that the septum is gone and we are trying new meds.  He only had one SA and since then he is taking vitamins and cut way back on the alcohol intake.  Not sure if that will help the morphology but it can't hurt.  If TI doesn't work for a few cycles we will talk about IUI.

Welcome to 3T. I know you're supposed to BD before ovulation, and during. Not funny that you got a ticket, but that made me laugh . Good luck with this cycle.
