Possible yeast infection

I am sitting at a walk-in clinic as I type this as the labour and delivery rooms of two hospitals told me to go to a walk-in clinic.

Anyone have thick white discharge (looks like wet toilet paper) with no pain or burning or irritations? Not sure if it's a yeast infection or just lots of discharge. I've had a yeast infection once in the past and it was quite painful.

Just wondering if this is just one of those pregnancy things and if others have had this.

Thanks and have a great day!

I had on a few months ago. Just used Monistat and it cleared up. Glad you're at your doctor. Could be just discharge or could be an infection

  • Thanks @Slaps‌... Thinking the same. But figured I'd better be over cautious.

The doctor at the walk in clinic will have some better info for you. Sorry that you are not feeling well.

Yes I didn't do anything internal

  • Thanks @CandEChicago‌! That's what I am hoping. The nurses I spoke too did not seem too concerned but Mr. Google scared the crap out of me. :)
  • Also start taking a probiotic daily. It will help keep your healthy bacteria levels up so you are less likely to get yeast infections.
  • I hope they have some good answers for you. Please just don't post a picture! I second the probiotic advice.

  • @Misschristine21‌ @leosmom25‌ I would never dream of posting a picture. Who does that anyway?
  • @Eora3‌ thanks for the advice. I will ;)
  • Thanks everyone. Doctor suspects yeast infection. I have to insert cream (nystatin) for 3 days. They sent off a culture and will call me back in 3 days for results.

Just a bit worried about shoving an applicator there. Anyone ever have to do this while pregnant?

Thanks and have a nice day!

Yep. It is messy and can cause irritation (I always have a little spotting). Just be gentle on yourself and wear a pad.

This is what convinced me to get serious about probiotics. Taking a pill a day is a whole lot less hassle.

Everyone. It's just the thing to do, I guess. Because this is an anonymous forum people think they can do whatever they want and that some people will want to see that. I, for one, don't like cottage cheese. Never have, never will.

I fixed the tag because MissChristine21 (whoever that is) is going to wonder why she's being tagged about vaginal discharge. Anyways, the internet is a strange strange place!

My husband shoves his penis in there on the regular so Im pretty sure an applicator would be fine. ;)

Plus there's nothing in there that would harm baby.

  • @sysakbaby‌ thanks for making me laugh. I needed that today. With all the issues I've had so far in this pregnancy, nothing's been shoved in there for a while.

  • @feeshah‌ that's an image I'll have for a while :)
Cottage cheese and anything is just wrong.
  • @MissChristineMarie‌ it was amazing. And cheap... Only 2 Canadian dollars. They call it a buddy burger. It has caramelized onions. It took me 42 seconds to eat it.
