Good morning, ladies!

I should be heads down in work right now bc I leave for a business trip tomorrow. But, the program I need on my computer is not cooperating right now, so I'm popping over here instead. My chest hurts, and I'm trying to figure out if this is heartburn related from my super healthy breakfast of pumpkin cookies and coffee, or if stress is catching up to me.

I want pumpkin cookies and coffee right now. I'm up early with Lennon. I just fed her and now she's snuggling with me and making lots of baby sounds. Little sighs and grunts and things that make me fall even more in love with her. She is the mellowest, sweetest little baby. She's not gaining weight as fast as anyone would like, but I'm hoping that will change soon. She's so tiny, it's crazy.

I woke up with Bennett's cold he's been dealing with since Thursday. Oh the joys of sharing. I hope we're both better by the weekend. We have our big family pictures on Saturday with my parents and brother/girlfriend.

I didn't make it to the gym yesterday because I forgot a shirt. Who forgets a shirt? My goal is the rest of the week. So far I've been really watching what I'm eating. I haven't weighed myself. I want to go by how my clothes feel. So far they feel less tight!

I also would like a pumpkin cookie! Yum!

I'm here at work, wishing I was home sleeping.  I have a few meetings that I can't really miss today, so instead, I'm the annoying person in the office who won't stop coughing.  

And I'm interviewing interns all day Thursday, so I really just want to feel better before I have to talk (and listen) for 8 hours straight.

Oh, and Brody's fish died yesterday.  We haven't told him yet and because he doesn't look at the tank everyday he didn't notice it was empty.  We're planning to tell him tonight.  I'm hoping it won't be a big deal, but I know how sensitive he is, so I am worried.  I also don't want to buy him a new one until we move to the new house, so I am hoping I can hold him off for a few months.

I made an appointment for next week to cut my hair. I'm trying to decide if I should do a side swept bang or not.

I should be working too, I just don't want to. I am so tired. DS woke up again MOTN and I had to put him in bed with me to get him back to sleep. I got a bit irritated with DH last night. We needed to return some over due movies to Red Box. He also wanted me to pick up dinner. No problem, but he wanted me to take DS. I told him it would be easier to leave DS at home than try to hang on to him while I return the movies. All the local Red Boxes are outside and right near the parking lot and I WILL NOT leave son in the car. So he got a bit snippy and we all ended up going. The snippyness (is that a word) is what irritated me. We actually had a good time though. And go figure daycare pictures are Wednesday but DS's haircut is Sat. All well, we schedule his appt. 4-6 weeks in advance or we have crazy hair.

Do it!  I always go with bangs when I'm looking to switch things up a bit.

I say go for it, they will grow out in a few months if you don't love it.  and side swept bangs are on the longer side so not as harsh as going for bangs.

I am so ready for a nap right now.   I think we should incorporate nap time into our work days.  it works for our preschoolers and some European counties!

How many times can you make the same mistake before you learn not to keep doing the same thing?  I'm feeling a little frustrated with my team today and I don't have my usual amount of patience.

ETA:  I'm apparently a little whiny today.  So, on a positive note, I'm thinking about getting soup from Panera for lunch or dinner today.  Someone tell me which one to get...

I need a pumpkin soy chai and a breakfast sandwich right meow. Unfortunately I'm going to have to settle for yogurt and water. I'm ready for this hand foot and mouth crap to be over with :-/

I want my baby right MEOW.  Seriously, I can't wait for that stuff.  I feel like I was so overwhelmed the first time around that I didn't stop to enjoy any of that stuff.

@kelbel527 I love their veggie anything soup.  I usually order veggie something, and if they don't have that I go in this order:  Chicken chicken wild rice or something like that, french onion, broccoli and cheddar, bean.

W is going to the doc today.  Pretty sure she has asthma or some other thing.   She has had coughing fits for 3 weeks now, where she will choke or puke at the end.  It was about every hour, then she was treated for bronchitis with a steroid and antibiotic and they went down to a few times a day, now the steroid is done and it's back full force.  We've noticed that it happens at nights and when she's very physically active during the day.

We had big thunderstorms last night so James ended up in our bed sometime in the MOTN. Problem with that is he wakes up when DH wakes up at 5:45. Should be an interesting night, he doesn't handle himself well with lack of sleep.

The best episode of Wallykazam is on right now.  The songs in this one always make me dance.  ha.

Sean has been poopy/pukey for a week now.  I'm ready for this to pass.  Poor kid.

The boys are getting their bunk beds tonight.  Eeee!

@kelbel527 all Panara soup is delicious!  i seriously have an addiction to that place.  my latest obsession is the tomatoe bisque - it's even better with a grilled cheese on the side

Tomato Bisque is my go to soup, and always with a half sandwich on the side.

I got so much done around here last night.  It was the first night in over a week that I wasn't working until midnight or later.  I spilled some shit in the oven last week so I tried to clean it to cook a pizza.  Even after cleaning it was nasty, so I put the oven on a clean cycle.  Yup, whole house smelled like a burnt turd, I had every window and door open and LITERALLY had to fan the smoke detector for over a half hour!  My arms hurt today! 

Apparently I don't know how to use that clean feature!  Enlighten me?

I remember not feeling W really move until 21/22 weeks.  This new kid is Cray zay.  I've felt her since super early on, but realize that is because I know what it feels like.  But seriously, she has been visibly moving my belly since 18 weeks.  DH felt her with his hand at 19w.  I'm kind of worried she is going to be a nutball.  I was hoping for a chill kid.

I just make sure to take the racks out and put "clean." I've never had a huge issue but I think this next time I'll be fanning the detectors like you. Or maybe I'll just take out the batteries before I push start. You reminded me that I need to this this weekend.

While I am still holding onto hope for James and the Giant Peach, I already bought the big balloon and a new tie, I am getting ready to buy a Power Rangers costume per James' request  

Also, I know nothing about the Power Rangers so I have to wait until he gets home to see if he likes the Megaforce or Mighty Morphin. I'm officially out of my league.

Hopefully this helmet will work because I like that it lights up.

@tinyhumantoe, Cruz was an in-utero nutball too from very early on, and he's only mildly spastic outside of the womb.  So there's hope yet.

Panera- tomato bisque and 1/2 tuna sandwich was my go-to pregnancy meal.

I'm sitting here sad because I want soup, but don't want to venture out because I haven't had a shower because I'm working from home.  DUH, I have four different kinds of bear creek soup mix.  Have you guys ever tried it?  It is so good!

OMG HI @loislayn!!!!!  You have been missed around here! I am sorry to hear Reid has been stressful, what you described is so similar to how I felt after Cruz was born...I know you're a pro at being a mom by now, but hang in there...in a few months these feelings may be a distant memory!

I had no calm babies. Ethan was easier than Maya but I wouldn't say he was easy or calm like some people describe. I have no relaxed kids. It's probably my fault since I'm never relaxed.

This drives me bonkers! We watch the first 3 seasons on Prime, but usually jasper sticks with one season for a few days. When he decides to watch an episode from another season, it annoys me to no end because I'm used to the last season's voices. They don't even sound the same!!!!

We just got back from Briar's 4 mo appt. She had to get 3 shots and didn't cry at all. Jasper, however, got the flu mist and bawled for like 20 minutes, the whole time saying 'WHY DID THEY DOOOOO THAT'. It was sad and cute. 

Now I'm eating my weight in pumpkin cookies and waiting for the kids' new shoes to get here!

@loislayn I'm sorry your little guy is unhappy. Briar was the same way at first-- nothing pleased her, and we were all running on zero hours of sleep thanks to her, so it was tense around our household. But about a month ago she became the happiest, most chill baby ever, so there is hope for you yet!! Hang in there!!

Thanks for the soup ideas ladies!  Now I don't have time until my next meeting to run out, but I'm totally getting it for dinner tonight.  

@loislayn - I hope Reid's doing better soon.  Aedan was tougher than Brody and it was hard on both DH and I because we weren't expecting it.  Hope you guys get it figured out soon!

@hmp1 - I feel you on the costume.  It's not worth the fight, so Brody is going to be a Ninja Turtle.  And since I'm not saavy enough, we bought him the wrong one, so I am still trying to convince him that Donatello is better than Leonardo.  And since I know very little about the TMNT and 4 year olds are irrational, I may lose this battle and have to track down Leonardo.  The store we bought it from didn't have it in his size.

HEY!  I was wondering how you were doing.    I'm sorry things are rough.  I hope things start to get easier.  I was really overwhelmed and flat out depressed when W was an infant, and I only had one kid, and I doubt she was very difficult.  ((hugs))

Poor Reid..... it sounds like his tummy is trying to figure things out   That would be so hard to see him that uncomfortable and not know what to do to help.  Sorry LL!

@loislayn have you tried giving Reid a probiotic? I swear that was the game changer with Colby, and I'm sure everyone remembers all the complaining I did about him early on.

I'm going to have a million annoying questions when I have this baby.  I feel like I don't remember half the stuff I knew back so long ago... you know, 2 years ago.
