I personally do not, but my sister had one with my nephew and she had a c-section with both her boys. Both boys are happy and healthy now with no issues. Hope everything goes well for you.
My daughter was born in May perfectly healthy with a 2 vessel cord. We did more frequent ultrasounds to make sure she was growing big enough. She wound up being 8 lbs 5 oz. we also did an extra echocardiogram of her heart around 24 weeks and that was fine, Best wishes to you and your baby.
Yes, my son had a 2 vessel cord and I was totally devastated when I found out, esp b/c we had lost his sister to CHD. The great news was that they could find nothing else on ultrasound, so it was a so-called isolated SUA. He was born totally health and was big for his gestational age. He continues to be in the 99th percentile. At delivery, my doc said the cord was very thick. Obviously it served him just fine.
Try to remain positive! Most likely baby will be OK!

I've been an OB nurse for 10 years. Biggest issue is to make sure baby is growing well, but have not seen any issues during L&D. Sometimes it's not even diagnosed before birth... Just follow your doctors plans.
We also had a 2 vessel cord and everything turned out to be totally fine. Single umbilical artery was quite scary as it can be an indicator for other issues, but our fetal echocardiogram was totally OK and our u/s were okay, too. She was also breech, which like SUA can be fine or can be a soft marker for other issues. We had monitoring ultrasounds the whole time, but DD had no growth issues whatsoever and was born via a very easy C-section at 8#10oz. her cord was totally thick and healthy. She is happy and almost 2 years old now.
2 vessel cords are not an uncommon occurrence....sometimes not even known until after birth.
They are about 1 in 100.

My LO also had SUA. Thank God no other issues turned up before or after birth. My extra monitoring missed that he was small, they kept telling me he was large for his GA, but was under 6lbs at birth, under 10th percentile. He has grown and developed with no problems after birth. I was able to have a natural birth, arrived at hosptal fully dilated and ready to push. He is our joy, hugs for you and your baby, I know how scary it feels!
I had a 2 vessel cord my first pregnancy. My baby now is a totally healthy 3 year old . We just monitored her growth via ultrasound weekly during the pregnancy. We had an echocardiogram as a precaution during the pregnancy as well. They just want to make sure baby is growing normal and doesn't have any under-developed systems. If they look fine then they most likely are fine don't worry!
