Cloth Diapering

~*Maple!*~

I just managed to brown a roast and veggies and get them in the oven while L slept in the carrier. All went well, and I even figured out how to tie nycapron on sideways just in case anything spattered. Then I realized the fatal flaw in my plan...getting a three pound roast into my oven with too many racks. I finally got it in there, but I think I learned not to try to bake anything that I can't maneuver one-handed.

  • It's so much easier when you can put them on your back.

  • All of yesterday's success went to my head. This morning I took the boys to an indoor playground. I forgot it is Fall Break here, so it was a madhouse! We were doing okay until L got hungry. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't figure out how to drop him enough to feed him, so I tried to take the carrier off. I couldn't get the waist clip undone!! Then N decided to take off around a corner where I couldn't see him. I wound up bundling up all my dangling straps with the baby and chasing him down.

  • :-( I feel like that's what holds me back from taking the two of them out for an extended period of time alone. Especially a place that DS1 could get hurt or something.
