Sorry for the delay!  After having my MS and symptoms lessen last week, today was full force misery.  At least now I'm not quite as paranoid about my u/s tomorrow...but who are we kidding, we always worry before an u/s!

Hopefully all my pains and MS is just being condensed to one day this week.

QOTW: I'll always love the classic Halloween.  But probably the scariest for me were The Ring and The Conjuring.  The Conjuring is the first movie that was so scary to me, I just couldn't watch it again.  And I love scary movies!

I still feel miserable, hopefully it lets up soon! Go for my first appointment with my OB tomorrow(the other was with a nurse) and an ultra-sound. Ready to see our little baby! Had a little spotting today, hopefully nothing to worry about!

QOTW: I am a chicken and HATE scary movies! So I am no help here, I think the last one I watched was Freddy vs. Jason and I didn't watch much!

Hey ladies. My queasiness has pretty much left me for today. But my boobies still hurt and I'm still tired. So this's a good sign. I have an appt tomorrow to recheck my progesterone and for an ultrasound. I am praying for a hb but I I know it could still be too soon at 5w6d. But I really want to see growth, and a fetal pole. I'm extremely nervous about it all. I'm just hoping that the crinone is doing what it's suppose to do and praying my bean is developing. ETA: QOTW- I hate scary movies. I avoid them at all cost. Otherwise I will not sleep by myself for 6 months, home alone passed 7:30 by myself, or in a dark room by myself. I'm not much of a movie person anyways but I love stepbrothers.

I don't have another OB appointment until 22-Oct.  It's gonna be a long wait.

I started spotting for the 2nd time in my PG on Sunday and its continuing today (the first time was last week, Monday & Tuesday).  I feel like its getting lighter, though I also thought I felt a dull pain in my abdomen, which I later thought was just gas & paranoia..... so, there's that.

QOTW: I'm not that big on scary movies - I usually find them disappointingly un-scary, or not really scary, just really messed up (ahem- Human Centipede).  But, I enjoy a good mystery, so I'd have to say either the Sixth Sense..... or, does Seven count at a scary movie?  That crap was messed up - also Morgan, Brad & Kevin - star power x3.

TODAY: YAY! I had my first Ultrasound and it was great news, normal heart rate and one perfect  baby. I was so relieved and over joyed. we graduate to the OB

I was terrified of Halloween when I was young. More recently "The Ring" freaked me out and i set the alarms on all our doors and locked my bedroom afterwards!

not too much going on here.  I have my u/s next week and I'm trying to find an OB.  I do have one but she doesn't deliver at the hospitals I like so I'm going to have to get a different one.  I've been having some difficult days food-wise.  I have a lot of food aversions and nausea lately but I'm trying to just eat what sounds good and to eat more often.  I almost cried the other night because I was so hungry that I got nauseated but couldn't think of a single thing to that I wanted to eat.  I know, I'm a weirdo.

QOTW:  I tend to gravitate more towards cheesy halloween movies like Ernest scared stupid because I'm a big weeny.  The Exorcist is the scariest movie I've seen.  I barely slept for a week after I saw it.

Hey ladies! So I had my first RE ultrasound today.. And found out I have 1 bean! HR was 114. He told me to come back in 2-3 weeks.. But after the look I gave him he said "or you can come back in a week". That sounds much better! So I go back next money for my second scan. I'm still very scared and nervous.. So just wishing time away until my next appt!

QOTW: Hate scary movies, but DH loves them. Not sure what the scariest movie I've seen was... But after watching the ring (in high school) having a tv in my room freaked me out. First I tried unplugging it... But that didn't make me feel better so I slept in my parents room - ha!

Just waiting for our first u/s on Friday morning. I have to fly tomorrow for work and am trying to relax about it.

I feel nauseous and dry heave every day, but for some reason by dinner I'm ravenous and eat a good meal. Still a lot of food aversions and carbs are wonderful. Taking it day by day.

I'm new here, so this is my intro post!  ***loss mentioned***

According to my transfer date I estimate that I'm due on June 6th, 2015.  I have not had my first ultrasound yet, so I am not sure how many beans I've got growing.

As to my journey.  I was born with a genetic disease that causes sinus and pulmonary issues.  Basically, the little hairs that are supposed to clear my respiratory system don't work properly.  Among other things, this disease can also cause infertility (in women it's because the same hairs help transport the egg where it needs to go).  So I have known for a long time that I could need help conceiving, but you never know for sure until you try...

We ended up doing 7 IUIs last year, mostly because insurance would pay for them.  Then we did a fresh IVF cycle last November, which was a BFN.  We thankfully had 12 5 day blasts left over, so we did a FET in February.  That resulted in a BFP, but there was no heartbeat at the 2nd ultrasound and so I had to have a D&E.  Then in September we did FET #2, which transferred on September 18th and resulted in my current pregnancy.

In the end, I'm excited to be here but also nervous.  Happy to meet you all.

QOTD: I would say either Halloween (the original) or The Shining since I watched them both in the dark at a friend's house and then had to walk home alone.  :-P

Hi ladies! I've reached 11 weeks, which means my 12 week NT scan is next week. Very (nervously) excited for that one! Overall my symptoms have reduced but I do still have pretty bad nightly heartburn. I am able to eat more of a variety of foods now, so I'm not living on strictly carbs anymore But the constipation can be a real pain in the rear....lol

QOTW: I'm not a big movie buff, let alone scary movies but when I was young "When a Stranger Calls Back" absolutely terrified me because it was about a babysitter who gets terrorized. I had a really hard time babysitting after seeing that movie

Nothing going on here with me. What little symptoms I had are gone. I have another us in the morning and I'm scared shitless. It sucks all my miscarriages don't allow me to think positive anymore. I'm trying but my brain keeps jumping back to all my losses and what happened.

QOTW: I'm a chicken, I don't watch scary movies. I remember when I was in Jr High a friend talked me into watching Children of The Corn ..... Oh HELL NO!!!! I still to this day can't walk through a corn field. My oldest son loves scary stuff and he made me do a corn maze and left me, I was in tears. Those maps aren't that easy to read when you are in one of them.

Hi yall! This is my first post on the 1st tri check in. My history is in my siggy (3 failed IUIs and this was my first IVF). My EDD based on my ER date is 6/3 and we transferred one bean so I'm guessing there is just one but we will hopefully find out at my first u/s next Monday, the 13th. Very nervous about it but trying to stay positive. So far have had some light cramping, hungry constantly and sore boobs. 

QOTW: One of the scariest movies I've ever seen is The Shining... scary and suspenseful. I used to really like scary movies but don't really care for them anymore... I get too scared.

Hi everyone! Welcome to the new girls! (Congrats!)

Next u/s is tomorrow, so I'm very nervous. I've been pretty sick… which is comforting, but also unpleasant. If all goes well tomorrow, we graduate to an OB!

QOTW: I am a huge scaredy-cat, so I avoid scary movies. In fact, sometimes movie trailers on TV will give me nightmares! (Ugh, Annabelle… WTF?!?!?) The scariest movie I saw in the movie theater was Pan's Labyrinth… My friends conned me into seeing it by saying that it's whimsical and fantastical historical fiction (which I guess it is… kinda). THE TUNE FROM THE MOVIE WOULD HAUNT MY DREAMS FOR WEEKS.

Hi ladies. I don't have any symptoms so it feels surreal as if it's not actually happening. Had some very, very light spotting last week which freaked me out but it cleared up (knock on wood). I have a us coming up this Thursday. I will be 5w1d so I don't expect to hear a heart beat

QOTD:  I'm a scaredy cat so no scary movies for me.

We are announcing to my IL's this weekend. We were going to do it this past weekend, but we were all sick, so that got cancelled.

I'm 6w1d today. We originally we're going for ultrasound on Friday but bumped it up to tomorrow morning. I know growth is the most important thing, but with that last beta having a 156 hour doubling time I'm just a wreck. Praying to see some progress tomorrow. Of course I did not stay away from google last night and read all these stories of wonky betas being precursors to severe genetic defects. I hate the internet sometimes.
I talked to my nurse yesterday for a long time and she reassured me that as long as it's rising it's fine. But then the weirdest thing happened, the same nurse called me an hour later and acted like we had never spoke and said "hi I'm calling to give you your beta result" it was the same number I was given earlier and she was oblivious to our previous 45 minute conversation about that number. WTF!!!!! Are they mixing me up with someone else? How else can that happen?

QOTW: any of the Halloween Michael Myers movies terrify me. If I even hear that theme music I get the chills!

I have an u/s tomorrow. Hoping and praying the h/b goes up. It was on the low side last week. I've also decided I have to stop reading other people's betas and h/b b/c it makes me anxious. I have to constantly remind myself that we're all different and I need to quit freaking out all the dang time.

I have to say the Shining is my fave. Scared the crap out of me as a kid. Blair Witch Project is also another favorite.

Well when she said she was calling to give me my results, I said "oh we spoke earlier" and she just launched right into giving me the same results again. And then she asked when I was coming in next, and we had already talked at length about moving my fri appointment to Wednesday. It had been an hour TOPS since we spoke. I think she just has no clue who I am

**Update**

I had my us this morning. There is a baby measuring 6w2d and a heartbeat of 115. I'm still waiting on them to call about all my blood work but they said everything looked good. I haven't had any spotting since just dull aching. So I'm going to take it easy for a few days.

I just got back from my ultrasound. At 5w6d the RE said "I think I see the yoke sac and fetal pole" but I am not 100% sure" she said she didn't want to give me false hope but she didn't want me leaving in tears because she's pretty sure she sees it but didn't want to give me a definite aswner because she wasn't sure. She did say that my sac was bigger than it was last week which is good and today I had my frist puking party which is also a good sign. She believes that the way my uterus is positioned it prevented her from getting a better imagine so she rescheduled me to come in next week on Tuesday for another ultrasound. She said we would def know something by then. I feel more hopeful than I did the other day because I feel like I saw a glimpse of the yoke sac and fetal pole. I think I am going to just remind myself that she thought she saw it and keep positive. After all she said she thinks she saw it. They did another blood draw to recheck my progesterone level so I am hoping that that number is soaring today. Thank you guys for all the well wishes. It means so much to me!!

Hello all. No real big changes for me. Just a random symptom here or there but nothing long term except for my not friend constipation but I would have bouts of this when I ate too many carbohydrates before as well, so we are no strangers. The only difference is acquiescing to going to bed at 8:30. My SO is a sleeper so he always wants to head up and get cozy. I'm used to being awake until around midnight. I wouldn't let us go up before 10 before. Now, I'm like "Hells yeah! To the sleep-mobile!" He's asleep before 9:30 and I'm out by 10. Neither of us wakes before the second alarm at 6:02 after the 5:36 warning alarm. (Odd numbers to actually break rem sleep.) If I could get away with a nap at work I might do that too. Next U/S isn't until the 16th or 17th. 

QOTW: No scary movies for me if I can avoid them. Strange considering my cousin runs a charity called "Scares that Cares," a group of horror fans devoted to fighting the real monsters of the world, diseases of all kinds.

So happy to see everything went well @Pintobean39 @CarSaidYes !  

My OB was great.  She often gets patients referred from my RE so she was very understanding about all the stress of IF.  Baby looked right on track and I was shocked she didn't have to do the vag cam anymore.  I did all that grooming this morning for nothing.  I feel a big relief getting past the 10w hump and seeing everything progressing.  Now I wait 4 weeks to go back.

Interesting thing is that they offered a blood test that can tell us the sex of the baby.  Has anyone done that?  I didn't know about it, but we're going to go for it.  We should hear back within 3 weeks.

ETA: I forgot the best part!  I have medicine!!  No more puking!!!

@gsancho I actually know a few people that have done the blood test. It makes things easier when planning because some times the baby can be stubborn and have crossed legs, or a awkward position when you go to anatomy scan then you have to wait a few weeks so its hard to plan or do a registry!

@gsancho‌ the test is called harmony and it's to look for genetic abnormalities. It's much more accurate that the AS done at 12 weeks and has less risk than amnio. It's often done for women who are AMA or at least that's when insurance companies cover it. It can be done as early as 10 weeks.

Second u/s went well! Bean is measuring a few days ahead with a heartbeat of 166 We officially graduated from the RE's office!

Our next appointment is with the OB in November.

I waited to update since I also had my first OB ultrasound today (so many people had theirs today, crazy!) at 11W 3D. I loved being there, I love my OB!

All looks well, baby is measuring 11W 5D with a HB of 166. They also did the NT scan and everything came back looking normal. The only downer is that she did a pap. She mentioned spotting was common, and I really wanted to skip it since I know spotting would freak me out. I was way behind though so she urged me to just go ahead. I knew I would spot, because I always do, and there was a bit of blood on my liner and then again on the toilet paper. Seems to be mostly over now, just a bit of pink mixed in with the cm. I know where it comes from, and I know it is not a big deal, but of course I won't feel comfortable until there is no more pink or red or brown. 

@CarSaidYes I had a scan at 5w6d and all they saw was the yolk, no fetal pole. My RE wasn't worried and it was right there with a hb 7 days later. 

@gsancho I also did the blood test today where they look for chromosomal abnormalities and determine the sex. My OB said it used to be used for AMA, but now they do it for everyone since the false positive rate is really low. I was surprised that the insurance covers it, but I'm excited to find out the sex so early (and of course hoping that all is well) 

QOTW: I don't love scary movies, but I think The Shining probably tops my list of all time scares, eugh...

I'm really just trying to stay sane until my third beta on Friday. 

I'm 39 and have an almost 3 year old daughter through IVF with donor sperm after 10 failed iui's in 2010. I got pregnant in August through FET but had a chemical pregnancy. I got pregnant again my very next cycle but my hcg is a bit low and taking 53.25 hours to double. The numbers are lower than either of my previous pregnancies which is discouraging but I am cautiously hopeful, in waiting mode. That being said, I am so excited to be pregnant! Due June 11, 2015.

One of the things we are unsure of is when we will tell people. Since I am AMA I will have the opportunity to take the Materniti21 test at 10 weeks, and I don't want to tell our daughter until we are out of the woods, but I am bursting to tell. I'm not sure I can keep this a secret for 6 more weeks.
