Anyone have a projector?

DH has been wanting another one.  We had one of the really old ones and sold it.  I know someone who has one that is older, but still works and comes with an extra bulb for $200.  But when I look online, I see some models for about that cheap.  The used one has the lumens, etc. that DH wants, but I am not sure if I should go for it or buy new?

Do you know which one you have?  Do you like it?  Would you go for new or used?

I would run it past DH and see what he said, even if it is a gift. DH is extremely picky about his electronics though and the few times I have tried to buy electronics without him giving a final OK, it hasn't turned out well. DH only buys new electronics so I would go new - what my DH wants, he can return it if needed, and less chances of issues without warranty

We just sold ours and DH hasn't had the itch to buy a new one yet. We sold ours because it was getting "old" (by DH standards). The bulb was past it's life. The cost of the bulb and the hours on the machine made it worth it to DH to buy a whole new machine. I have no idea the make or model. So I can't help you there.

Run it past your DH. We have one and it cost over ten times that. I would be concerned one that cheap wouldn't work well.

He has said the used one will be fine, quality-wise.  We know the person who is selling it.  DH mostly wants it to run his golf simulator.  I was comparing the price online, and it seemed like there might be ones with similar numbers for the same price brand new.  However, we would get an extra bulb.
