constant noise?

JJ still isn't talking :( but it seems like he is making noise ALL. DAY. LONG. some babbling, which is obviously fine, but also whining, moaning, shrieking, screaming, yelling, blowing raspberries, etc.--just all noise, all the time. it's starting to make me crazy. is this normal? will it subside or stop when he starts talking?

Re: constant noise?

  • Nope. My 7 year old NEVER. SHUTS. UP. It's enough to wish duct taping your kids was legal, sometimes.

On the flip side, E asked for juice this morning, with actual words, not just whining and tantrums, and when I handed him a cup, he actually said "Tank you!" And not just "Yep."

    Now their both playing Barbies.

  • DS has some words, but he does babble a lot still. It's the shrieking that I don't like lol

  • ugh. i think i could handle lots of jabbering, but this whine/shriek/scream/repeat pattern is so irritating. especially because he keeps waking up the little one--he's only 2 months and still sleeping randomly throughout the day. it's not practical to take him up to his crib every time he falls asleep, but that means he's stuck napping in the middle of the toddler chaos.

  • Dd never stops talking. DS on the other hand goes days without any real words, and even then, goes long periods of time with silence,
  • DD won't shut up. Ever. I think I mentioned in another post that at bedtime her latest thing is to sing along with Rainbow Connection. While she's still latched on and nursing. It is soooooo hard not to laugh!!
