3 carseat question

Hi everyone...I just recently found out I'm having twins!  Totally unexpected.  Anyway, I have a son who will be 4.5 when they are born and in a booster seat.  Is it totally unreasonable to think I could fit a booster plus 2 infant seats in a 2007 toyota camry?  I have no car payment and the thought of adding to our bills with a new car totally freaks me out.  Do I need to bite the bullet and get a bigger car?

Re: 3 carseat question

  • I'm keeping my Jeep Compass for a similar reason...it'll be tight, but we are still making payments on this car and can't afford to trade it in for at least another year. I say you can make it work...

  • What booster is your son in?   If you got him a Harmony Defender which is only 17" wide and used Chicco Keyfits which are also 17" wide you will fit 3 across.  You have 53.9" to work with,

  • It is possible, you just need the right seats ;) My SIL got her trips in a Camry. Check out car seats for the little and you may find some good combos that work. We too bought 3 new car seats instead of a $40,000 car ;)

  • I've installed 2 Diono Radians and a Graco infant seat in the back of a Mazda 3 as well as a Honda Accord.  It was definitely tight, but doable.
