Diaper bag discussion

I've looked around at a bunch of options - the issue I have is that pretty much anything labeled "diaper bag" is twice as expensive as the exact same thing intended as a large purse/beach bag/back pack. 

Trying to find something that is not to feminine so DH won't mind carrying it. I mean, he will carry my purse now and doesn't really care, but if he is out alone with the babe I don't see him toting a paisley or polka dot bag. At this point I'm leaning towards a leather (or faux - I don't care) messenger bag and just putting an organizer inside if we need it.

This is the bag I am currently eyeing. We have the Skip Hop Duo for DS and it's fine, but I had found it to be small at times. I love the Skip Hop stuff as it's easy too clean. My requirements for a bag is something that fits on the stroller bar (both of these bags have stroller clips) and it had to be something DH will carry. Switching bags, one for me and one for him is too much. We need something that can last and easy to carry.

Last time I got ome of those regular Graco diaper bags.. I found it too bulky, and the straps weren't long enough. This time I got a bag from Thirty-One, it's the Explorista. I like that the strap detaches and you can hook it to the stroller, and the strap is long enough to be a cross-body. I hope I enjoy it!

I am just going to reuse my Coach diaper bags. One is big and one is medium sized. Once DS was potty trained and needed less stuff to carry, I got a cheap Wal-Mart Spiderman backpack for his stuff.

we use the diaper dude bc my husband often carries it and its not too fem - I like it too bc its easy to clean, has compartments and is comfortable to carry - I wish it were a tad bigger
