Wtf

Well I'll probably be chastised for this , but I just want to say ..... I've just discovered the tv show "I didn't know I was pregnant" .... Gee don't we all wish it was that easy !!!

Re: Wtf

  • I knew I was pregnant both times very early. I don't understand how people can not know. There are so many signs.

  • For our announcement, my husband and I were playing around with the idea of doing a spoof of that show: "I didn't know that you didn't know you were pregnant". But ultimately we nipped that idea because not too many would get the reference.
  • I never believed those stories until my last pregnancy. I didn't have any morning sickness or other symptoms, I didn't show until around 30 weeks, I had an anterior placenta so didn't feel kicks until 24 weeks, and once or twice a year I had freakishly long cycles. So if I hadn't have POAS (on a drunken whim after my meat-hating self demolished three burgers in one day), I probably wouldn't have known I was pregnant until month 5 or later.

I'm not so lucky this round.

  • I just found some of the stories bizarre , one had no signs and had twins !!! I of course would be terrified worrying about bubs health etc but wow , to he able to almost do things normally without any notion , Wowsers
  • I've watched it before but now that I'm pregnant, I refuse. It is possible, but so odd.

  • A woman I went to HS with recently had a surprise baby. Doctors told her she would never be able to conceive naturally so the idea of being pregnant wasn't even on her radar. She really didn't gain enough weight to attribute it to a baby and she thought she was tired from working overtime. She thought her appendix was about to burst one day and called 911. Instead she had a baby on her driveway.

  • DH's cousin is due the 31st and didn't find out until 6 months or so. This is her 4th. The no prenatal care part would be terrifying to me. I know that's not exactly the same, but still scary.

  • I had no idea until my mother mentioned the rash on my chest, was how she knew she was pregnant. If we didn't see each other often I probably still wouldn't know as all my symptoms can be related to thyroid issues & the depo shot that I obviously wasted $ on
  • I agree with @somerandomchick‌. I can't imagine having to cram 8 months' worth of thought & planning into the hours of labor and delivery. Talk about physically, mentally, and emotionally overwhelming for everyone involved.
