So tired of the daycare colds!!!!

My little guy has only been in daycare since Aug 15th. He has had 3 colds since then. All with high fevers and he is miserable. It's like we get a good healthy week then BOOM- he licks a toy at daycare and we are miserable again. Is this going to get better when he moves to the 1 year old room in a couple of months? I just feel like his little brain is cooking every time I feel his little head burning up.

So sorry. It sucks but I have found that the first year is the worst. This time of year my kids are perpetually sick with runny noses and coughs but luckily we do not seem to get high fevers. Hugs mamma. It will get better as they build up immunities

It sucks. The good news is, they are building immunity. My three year old hasn't had a cold in a year (knock on wood!!). My daughter seems to have a chronic cough but I keep telling myself she's building immunity.

I can empathize!!!  When DS first started DC, it was like every other week he and I were sick.  It was really starting to piss me off because SO would NEVER get sick!!!  This happened for the first couple of months and then it stopped with the exception of a runny, crusty nose.  Hang in there!

I feel the same way! My DS started daycare Sept 2 and since then he has an ear infection, croup, a virus that made him break out in a rash, pink eye, a fever with diarrhea, and currently he has a cough. He has never gotten sick before that. I'm scared to see what the rest of the year will be like. Like the PP said I'm hoping that he is building up his immunity!!
