Tampons after MC?

I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place...just have one question. Was informed on 9/30 that fetal dev. had stopped and bean had no HB. Doc prescribed Misoprostol. Took it last night before bed... Everything has gone as expected... just wanting to know if it's safe to use a tampon as opposed to a maxi or if there is some specific reason to avoid them...

    Thank you...figured since everything I've read about the process mentioned pads there was probably a reason...just needed to ask since I can't see the doc til Monday.

    No tampons! It can cause an infection.
