Nightlight?

Who is using one? A is very stimulated by light so up until this point his room is practically pitch black. I know he is not afraid of dark at this age, but maybe it would give him a little reassurance? We'll probably try one tonight since it really couldn't be much worse than the last few.

If you're using one when did you start and did you notice any difference?

We have one of the led ones in his room. It's pretty dim but does the job.

Eta he's always slept with some light on

  • We have one- but both my babies have not been great sleepers so maybe do the opposite of me?? Lol

My daughter did not STTN until 2.5 years. And Gunner is up 3-ish times a night still.
  • We stopped using one because during the day H would rip it out and try to eat it.

  • We have the turtle that attacked Remy but it's distracting to him to have the stars so he doesn't fall asleep.

  • Our ped recommended it because she said it helps them orient themselves when they wake up in the middle of the night. Ours has had one plugged into the wall behind the rocker for most of his life. He's a great sleeper, but I'm not sure how much it contributes.

I totally thought I told this story! H was letting me "sleep in" and at like 7am he came in and both Remy and him were covered in blood and he was like "he was just holding the tranquil turtle and I can't get it to stop" it was a massacre (that Remy didn't even notice) and then 20 minutes of screaming because I had to put pressure on the cut.
What?! This is concerning. We have the tranquil turtle and use it to settle him sometimes. Did the plastic crack and cut him or something? Poor Remy. How scary.
