My husband got two free tickets to a haunted house from work and I really want to go with him but I'm not sure if it's safe with all the loud noises and large crowds of people?? Does anyone know if this is safe? Thanks
One of my OBs will be at Halloween Horror Nights the same weekend as my husband and I. The only cautionary thing she told me was to let my husband go in front of me to avoid having someone jump back into me and knock me over, or flail their arms into my belly after they get scared.
I looked into this way early The general consensus is so long as you're careful and don't let anyone bump into you, and you're careful about your footing, everything should be a-okay! Apparently a lot of pregnant women go through haunted houses, so it's pretty okay overall
Id just be careful that no one bumps into you/things like that. My biggest concern would be peeing my pants....which happens enough without the scary things.
People already said what I was thinking - the biggest dangers are probably falling down or peeing your pants, but I think it's fine while you're pregnant if you like scary things.
Ohhh myyyy gooooodness lol I really wanna go to some haunted houses or a theme park but I'm super paranoid that I'm gonna get so scared I pop the baby out! Lol
I love love love haunted houses but I feel weird about going while pregnant for some reason. Also DH is totally not into it so it would be rough finding someone to go with.
The big haunted house here doesn't let pregnant women in
The ones around here have warnings about not going while pregnant and the most popular one won't let you go in if they think you look pregnant.
That's discrimination on their part then. "Ma'am are you pregnant?"
"No."
"Well you look it so you can't come in."
Lawsuit!
I would think it's more of trying to keep themselves from getting sued for a woman going into pre-term labor or injury to the baby/mother from being pushed/crushed. They are allowed on the haunted hayride, but that's a hands off event. The house one, they are allowed to touch you.
Re: Is it safe to go to a haunted house at 25 weeks?
I do know I wouldn't go, pregnant or not! Eek! :-S
Hope you have a good time!
