Rash under neck

My dd has a massive double chin and so it's always red under her neck. I clean out from under it everyday but it seems like the redness is getting worse. I put some Desitin on it at night and it helped a little bit. Are any of you having the same issue and if so what helps?

I would put cornstarch under her neck.  It will help keep the moisture/gunk down.  It will eventually clear up in about a day or two.

What soap are you using? I just asked the pediatrician the same question a few weeks ago, and she recommended switching from J&J baby wash to Aveeno baby, and it cleared up a day later!  She also said that more tummy time would help to air it out, and cornstarch works too.

Aquaphor helps. If it looks raw, I alternate a zinc based cream with Aquaphor or A & D. Just try to keep it dry.

DON'T USE CORNSTARCH! It encourages bacterial growth and will make it worse!

I call it "cheese neck" and have also found it under armpits when the day has been especially spitty.
I try to wipe and keep dry, then use our diaper cream of choice ( budroux's butt paste) at night

Thanks everyone. I have made sure to be more diligent about wiping up under her neck. I rubbed some baby powder on it and put desitin on it at night and its all cleared up now. Thank goodness.
