I'm sure you know how it works.

I'm setting rules though, no food confessions ;)

So, the canadian site I order my OPKs and HPTs from (thanks Mlal) was having a pretty awesome sale on FRER type HPTS. I was due to buy new OPKs and HPTs so I figured I'd take advantage of the sale and stock up since I could get free shipping with an order of 75 or more. So I bought 2 packs of 50 OPKs, 2 packs of 50 HPTS, 2 packs of those FRER type tests which I think is 20 mid-stream tests total. DH happened to be around while I was shopping and was intrigued by preseed and some fertilty tea. I added those to my shopping cart. I then decided to hold off and not pay for my items until the next day because I wanted to do some research on some supplements they were offering.

Dh then went to work where he was talking with two of his buddies who are also currently TTC. they were floored at how cheap the sticks are and asked DH if I'd mind putting in an order for their wives. Essentially the entire order tripled. So, we're talking 200 or more OPKs, 200 or more HPTS , 4 bottles of preeseed etc etc.

The company called me and asked me if I was a clinic. #ifeeljudged.

I laughed and laughed and laughed at the awkward silence when I told the lovely lady on the phone that the order was for personal use.

Ha, that is awesome!  BTW dh loves the preseed (thanks @snegde)
Did you order it from MAB?

I remember someone mentioning that the pH balance or something led to a yeast infection. We ordered it but I'm worried.
  • That's hilarious @PinkCamino! I need to order some HPTs to use to test out the HCG.
The mid-stream tests we're 11.25$ for 10 tests. If you're in Canada it's so so worth it.
  • @PinkCamino‌ That is hilarious. My best friend is also TTC so I'll probably offer to get some tests for her on this next order I'm placing. I hadn't thought of combining our orders.

  • What is the thing with baby dust? I looked through the blog but must have missed it if it was mentioned. I've always thought it rather juvenile and somewhat dumb, but it seems to be rather uniquely loathed here and I'm curious why. Also, @PinkCamino‌ - I am going to order some of those tests myself, but I'm wondering what the packaging looks like. They said on their site that the packaging is discrete, but does the company name show up anywhere on the packaging at all? My MIL lives with us and usually gets our mail. I don't want her to know we are TTC.

It's considered insensitive and hurtful to those who have had their lost LO's cremated.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for letting me know. There is a different 'culture' here than on other boards I've been on in the past so I'm still learning the ropes.

Baby Dust is a particular trigger for me. Probably one of the biggest TBH. I had to cremate my girls after they passed so reading about wishing baby dust on people has a really negative connotation for me.

Yes, the packaging is discreet. The return address doesn't even have the company name on it.
  • @pinkcamino I've been using preseed for 8 months now and no issues with yeast infections.  You only need a small amount though - otherwise it becomes like a slip n slide down there!
    hahaha thanks for the info!

DH is totally of the mindset more is better. I'll let him know!
  • I'm spending all day playing Lego Harry Potter. Fuck the world and all of the responsible things adults are supposed to do.

I also want to add to PC's rule:

Remember - this is FLAME FREE Friday Confession. All that means is you can and probably will get flamed if you confess something that is flame-worthy. Deal with it. If you "confess" something that makes people want to give you hugs, sorry.

  • I went online shopping yesterday. I got a pair of Italian leather shoes (the unicorn for women shoes which all seem to be made in China) for $100. Thank you Nordstrom Rack for your clear the rack event.

The FFFC about that is I only worked 5 hours last week and probably should not be buying Italian made shoes no matter how good the deal is.
